He was so helpful and very knowledgeable. Also, the nurse was great. Don’t have her name. Front desk, young lady sent results of x-ray to my Doctor. Excellent service!!

This is the third time visiting this AFC location for a DOT physical, every time as a walk-in, no appoinment. The wait time was very short, and after filling out all the DOT required paperwork I was quickly called back for the exam. Then entire staff from check-in, nurses, and the PA were professional and polite, always making my visits here pleasant. I plan to return here for all future exams, and any urgent care needs that may arise.

Overview of STD Testing in Gastonia

Who should get tested for STDs?

Anyone who is sexually active should consider regular STD testing, especially if they have multiple partners or do not consistently use protection. According to the CDC, certain groups are at a higher risk of contracting STDs, including young people aged 15-24, men who have sex with men, and individuals with compromised immune systems. In Gastonia, NC, and surrounding cities like Dallas, Lowell, Bessemer City, McAdenville, and Cramerton, it's important to be proactive about sexual health and get tested regularly.

Importance of getting tested

Getting tested for STDs is crucial for several reasons. Firstly, many STDs do not exhibit symptoms, meaning you could be infected and unknowingly spreading the disease to others. Secondly, untreated STDs can lead to serious health complications, including infertility, certain types of cancer, and increased risk of contracting HIV. Finally, knowing your STD status can help you make informed decisions about your sexual health and prevent the spread of these diseases in your community.
