I thought it was extremely easy to book a lab test appointment with Quest. Getting the test done was simple and so was the getting the results! Great job putting together something so user friendly.

Great discreet service, scheduled my visit and paid for for the test online not in Showed up at lab, checked in and was seen within minutes. Blood and urine were collected, test results came back quickly within 2 days because I did my test on a Friday. Quick, easy and cheap. Didn't have to wait for a visit to my PCP, and then get referral to lab.

I was able to choose a Quest lab location and schedule an appointment. Check in was easy, and I only needed to provide my name and DOB. They were able to locate my order in their system. They were already aware that my labs were paid for prior to the appointment. I had my labs done on a Wednesday, and I received my results by Saturday. Great experience.

Recent Lab Tests Reviews (20)

We did a virtual visit for a covid test following a positive at home test. We were required to log in 15 minutes prior to the appointment. The provider came on the line almost immediately. Was able to prescribe medications right then and send them to the pharmacy. We were asked if we needed employer verification, which we did. We were told to drive to the office and wait in the parking lot until someone came out to perform the test. We arrived, and the test was completed minutes later. Everything was fast and convenient. The staff member who performed the test answered all our questions.. We have recently required urgent care at another well known facility in Bakersfield and had to wait hours. We will definitely be back to Priority for any future needs.

Had covid test for Hawaii travel, staff were helpful and courteous, provider was pleasant, wait time with scheduled appt was ok, we did wait for 20 minutes past our appt times to come in but still out the door very quick and wait in car was partly on a call with the staff to answer health questions. Overall very good experience and I will recommend to anyone :)

Just took my six year old to get Covid tested. She was very nervous but they were super friendly and very Gentle. Would definitely go back to them based on the employees alone but a big plus is the rapid test is a fraction of the cost as accelerated urgent care. They said it would be between 180-205 depending on the time of day we went and here it was only 30-40. Accelerate also had a 3 hour wait compared to about 30 minutes here. Highly recommend.

I needed a Covid test for an upcoming procedure. They were very friendly and advised me that I was too early and made an appointment for me on a day that was inside the time frame I needed to be tested. My appointment was short and contacted me with the results.

This is my third time here and they are amazing! First time was a covid scare so we were tested fast and easy. Second time my daughter had a piece of glass stuck in her foot. Third time was an infected bug bite. Each time was fast, clean , and super friendly. I literally live 25 minutes away and it’s worth the drive!

I went there because I have a cough that makes me gag so bad I vomit and wheeze and all the provider did was give me a covid test. Did give me anything to help my cough or recommend anything.. And I'm left with no diagnosis.....Is everything ruled as Covid now when I know my bronchitis is back. Kind of annoyed

I did have to wait a while for someone to come out to do my Covid test. I know there has been an uptick in Covid cases in our area so I’m sure that was why. The staff was kind and apologetic. Some things just can’t be helped. Overall I would highly recommend Priority Urgent Care.

Please tell your appointments the approximate wait time. I waited for 2 hours when my appointment was at 11:30. That would be very important for those who feel sick. Also, please consider testing your symptomatic patients in their cars. That would minimize exposure for your staff and other patients. Thank you.

The virtual phone visit was a lot easier and fast compared to walk in visit. Linda Perez was very professional and pleasant. I am now waiting in the parking lot on Allen Road to get my test done. I only had to wait 10 minutes for them to come out to my car for the nasal swab. Great experience this time compared to last time where I had to wait 3 1/2 hours!!! Thanks!!!

Although I’m still not sure of the fee process I can’t say enough good things. All I needed was a COVID test. I have the video chat with the doctor which was super friendly and it went very quick. Once I got to the office I called and they came to the car to gather the test. I had the results in under an hour. Thank you for an amazing experience.

The PA Gloria , was extremely courteous. She made sure all my questions were answered and her information about the Covid Testing actually calmed me down considerably. I appreciate this type of service because this is quite an unnerving experience given what the news is saying about this virus. Please thank her for me and due to her please demeanor I while now use Priority Urgent Care for all my medical needs.

Yesterday I was unable to book an on-line appointment. I had to do a walk-in this morning I almost did not get seen to take a Covid Test wanted to hive me appointment for tomorrow 9-7-21 I told them i needed to be tested before returning to work tomorrow. So this facility went ahead an let me get tested after all .

The staff was very friendly and explained what they were going to do. I felt the wait was ok although if you make an appointment for rapid Covid test and not seeing a doctor because your ill or injured it should go quicker for swabbing a nose. Just a suggestion.

I went for COVID-19 test. I did not have any symptoms, just need my negative test so I could go to physical therapy, as I had been exposed. They are pretty efficient, considering the amount of people coming in. They call you when they are ready for you, so you just sit in your car and wait.

My son and I waited for almost 2 hours to be seen by the provider. When we were seen, the technician messed up on our swabs and now we have to go back and get the test done again. They did call us back to tell us they had made a mistake, so that's why I would recommend them again. I value honesty and integrity.

Made an appointment on line for a video chat with a PA and a drive up COVID test. The chat was started on time and after arriving in the parking lot and calling to let them know I was there, the wait was only about 5 minutes. In a little over 3 hours had a phone call and an email with my results. Very satisfied!

I arrived early and was the first patient at the front desk. The paperwork was completed on my phone by myself. I went right inside the testing facility and my vitals were checked. Afterwards I went into a regular room to which the doctor spoke with me and addressed my concerns. Shortly afterwards a staff member came in and addressed my concerns and I was finished. A very good experience. Thank you. -Jim

Wait time was minimal with Appt. Was out of urgent care within 1 hour with COVID test X-ray and a antibiotic shot. So not bad. Staff was efficient and doctor was good at explaining what was going on. He was also very fast didn’t make me wait after X-ray for results. Told me what to expect and if not to return.

Overall the visit for my son went well. I lobby should accept some patients to wait inside other urgent care/medical facilities do. Having to wait outside in the heat is added hardship to the ill and in pain patients. Also I had to go in person to receive a print out of Covid test results, I requested it numerous times to get it emailed the day before and it did not happen.

I’ve been coming here for some time now to get my Covid test. I love coming in the morning because Tina is a pleasure to have to take my paperwork. She’s always polite and respectful and greets you with a smile 😊. Nurses like Tina keep me coming back to this location for my COVID-19 test.

Bakersfield Lab Tests

Lab tests take samples of your blood, urine, saliva, and other bodily secretions, which are then analyzed in a lab to help doctors diagnose and treat certain illnesses. Lab tests can be used to diagnose an illness, detect changes in an existing condition, and monitor how your body responds to a therapy, among other things. They can also be used to monitor the progression of a disease or a set of diseases.

If your doctor is unable to make a definitive diagnosis of your disease, or if you are having a variety of symptoms that could indicate a variety of disorders, he or she may request a lab test. Some lab tests require no preparation at all, while others may require you to fast for eight to twelve hours before the test in order to avoid erroneous results from certain meals and beverages. Your healthcare provider may advise you to cease smoking, exercising, and taking certain medications and nutritional supplements for many hours or days before your blood test.

Before your lab test, ask your doctor for precise instructions to follow to minimize erroneous results and multiple trips to the lab for additional testing. A lab worker may use a needle to draw blood from your arm or prick your finger to collect a small sample of blood during a blood test. During a urine test, your physician will ask you to go to the restroom and urinate in a sterile cup, then set your sample on a shelf where a lab technician can pick it up and process it. The personnel at the lab testing facility will demonstrate how to do each type of test.
