Urgent care
My main problem was I told them all the medication that I was on & they gave me prescription for a medication that I shouldn't take with my medicines. So it seems like doctor didn't read my chart & wasnt paying attention to what I could actually take. But CVS said that they are supposed to verify my medications & that if there's a problem with the medication then CVS is supposed to catch it. Well they never caught it either. The COVID medicine that I was supposed to get wasn't ready so I went back the next day & the pharmacist told me that I was supposed to get the COVID medicine on the same day that it was prescribed because I was supposed to take it the same day. But it turns out that the doctor prescribed a COVID medicine that cost $1000 & the pharmacist said that the doctor prescribed the wrong Covid medication. She was supposed to prescribe a different COVID medicine. So if you go to Immediate Care on Hickory Lane by Walmart then you need to make sure that they do their job.

Urgent care
I just moved back to the area in August and have not established a primary care physician yet.  Feeling bad to horrible in a few hours yesterday prompted me to get an appointment.   The facility was clean, all care providers were kind and made me feel like they really and really cared about helping me feel better. They also recognized that because I was sick, I didn’t want to sit around and wait.  Thank you to everyone!

My place of employment uses API and I also use it as my primary personal care. I went to Brownsburg yesterday to urgent care (because API is not open on weekends) (recommended by my virtual online visit as well) and was REFUSED service. I had already tested positive for Covid a week ago after doing a test at home and had some concerns I felt needed a professional’s input on. So I went to API today and also took my fiancé who was showing signs of Covid. They took us both right in together. All the staff from the front desk to the back of this clinic were amazing. (As Always) Tammy is by all means the BEST with a wonderful personality as are the Doctors who are also so friendly and outgoing. Always listening to what you have to say and will always have you smiling about something while there. Tammy’s recommendations are on spot and her shots in the yang are the healing thang…. Two sick people left there today picked up are prescriptions and are finally on the road to recovery. And both tested negative for Covid. And then there’s down to earth Lindsay Huber who also gets a thumbs up and a 10. We were seen and in and out in less than a hour. GREAT PLACE GREAT SERVICE EXCEPTIONALLY WONDERFUL STAFF.

I always have a great experience at Avon Urgent Care. I am quick to get in, hardly any wait time, the staff is always super friendly. Treatments are cost effective and the doctors always give more time than needed to answer questions and concerns. I have several urgent care in my area (Brownsburg) and I drive the extra miles to go where I know I will get excellent care. I give alot of credit to all those working in the medical field during this crisis to ensure patients are well cared for and that is what Avon Urgent Care gives one hundred percent! Thank you for your service and sacrifice.

My visit at Family Urgent Care surpassed my expectations in all categories. I was greeted by a friendly, professional medical receptionist who quickly checked me in. Both of the doctors that took care of me were professional and caring. They were swiftly thorough and took the time to ask me if I had any questions or other issues that they could address for me. I’ve been to most of the walk in medical centers in the area for myself or my children’s health concerns. I will be using Family Urgent Care in Schererville from now on for my health needs as well as recommend it to family and friends!

After taking my grandaughter to a urgent care in Brazil by St Vincent's hosp they would not see her because she was on Medicaid even after I offered to pay for the visit. We left & I was going to drive to TH to find an urgent care. I looked some up online & found you & saw that she could do a video visit so that's what she did & it was great! Rd was called to the pharmacy & all is well with the world!! Thank you so much!

Usually this place is amazing for kindness, courtesy and professionalism. I had contact with 4 staff members today. Only one was short with me and talked down to me as though I were not educated on illnesses or medicine. This person was the man who called me to get further information about my appointment prior to my arrival. That said, everyone else was the cat's pajamas! Stay cool Nora Urgent Care!

I couldn’t get into my PCP to be seen for potential flu/COVID. Nor could I get same-day-testing from CVS or Walgreens. Urgent Care was able to provide both flu and COVID testing with rapid results and sent off another COVID test for the more accurate results. They were quick, efficient, and courteous.

Used the curbside service. They were out promptly to test. Super friendly and caring with my daughter. Then results came later via text. Everything from making the appointment online to getting the test results was a breeze. If you need a COVID test I highly recommend Nora Urgent Care.

I had a drive up Covid test. I was in and out. I actually went to the wrong urgent care originally, but Family Urgent Care called to see where I was and still let me keep my appointment even though I was a half hour late!

Being a nurse myself I love the Covid precautions that Family Urgent Care is taking (people waiting in their car.) Service time was definitely nice. The nurse that performed my test was nice, gentle (some just ram into your nose) and professional. Definitely would recommend.

The staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful. I did not rate the facility because I never entered it. I would absolutely (and already have) recommend Nora Urgent Care to others. In fact, a very thoughtful neighbor recommended you to me.

Urgent Care in Indiana

Within its more than 6 million residents, Indiana is widely diverse with a varied population. Its climate is comparably mild, with moderate temperatures throughout all four seasons so there is not much weather or geography-based to affect health in the state, however Indiana has its own crosses to bear in terms of healthcare, specifically with obesity.

Health Issues in Indiana

Obesity is a growing problem in America, one that shows itself especially in the south and the midwest. In Indiana alone, studies suggest that by 2030, more than half of Indiana's population will become obese. The resulting problems are numerous, ranging from heart disease to stroke. Diabetes, high cholesterol and blood pressure, heart attacks, and problems with bone and joint health will run rampant—and for some people they are already serious issues. These health issues will put a heavy strain on the states healthcare infrastructure. The state also has a problem with Lyme disease. Owing to rural, heavily forested areas, many places in Indiana have a serious tick population. Since Lyme disease can present in seemingly common symptoms such as joint pain, some who are infected may not even realize they have a problem.

Urgent Care in Indiana

To assist with general wellness, preventative care and non-emergent healthcare needs, there are more than 80 urgent care centers in Indiana, more than 50% of which are open seven days a week. These centers, generally staffed by physicians, can offer support for obese or overweight patients and treatment for those suffering from Lyme disease or other ailments.

Walk-in Clinics in Indiana

Indiana also boasts dozens of other walk-in clinics including more than 35 retail clinics, which can be found at Walgreens and CVS pharmacies, as well as other large retail centers, throughout the state. These retail clinics are not able to diagnose and treat all the conditions that an urgent care is able to, but they are more than capable with minor injuries and illnesses including cold and flu symptoms, stomach bugs and minor sprains and strains.

Urgent Care FAQs

  • How much will an urgent care visit in Indiana cost?

The price charged at an urgent care, whether in Indiana or elsewhere, will be based on the location, and there are no actual standard costs between the clinics. Assuming you are paying with cash, you might come across an urgent clinic that charges you $50 while another situated some mile away charges you $100 for the same services. The standard cost in urgent care where insurance cover is not involved ranges from $100 to $125. This price is generally the standard price of a visit before extra services. There are a couple of additional care services that could make your appointment to an urgent care costly including x-rays and lab tests, medications and injections (such as immunization), casting broken bones, as well as stitches and splints. If you have a viable insurance plan in place, the standard pay will be between $20 – 50 depending on your insurance coverage and whether you are in contact with the provider.

  • Are Indiana urgent care centers open after hours?

Most primary care doctor offices are open during routine work hours, Monday thru Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Typical urgent care hours are 8:00 am to 8:00 pm daily, although location-specific hours may vary.

  • Do urgent care centers in Indiana take appointments?

Historically, urgent care centers were strictly an on-demand, walk-in healthcare service mode. Use Solv to find a Indiana urgent care center that offers advanced bookings (or appointments) and book online.

  • What is the best urgent care center in Indiana?

While it would be easy to provide a list of urgent care centers in and around Indiana, 'best' is a challenging term to qualify. For some consumers, that could mean the closest location whereas other people may prioritize patient reviews, service costs, availability, or whether or not the provider accepts their insurance. With the list of locations above, use the filters provided to narrow the results to find the best urgent care for your needs.

  • What is Urgent Care?

Urgent care is available to assist patients that are looking for immediate, convenient medical care. In that manner, they are similar to an emergency room. The difference, however, is that ERs are meant to treat major, life-threatening injuries and illnesses while urgent care centers manage life’s minor bruises and bumps. In simple terms, an urgent care is seen as a walk-in health center that focuses in offering non-emergent health care conditions, including the treatment of the typical illnesses and injuries such as fractures and sprains, cuts and burns, scrapes, stings and bites, flu and cold symptoms, nausea and vomiting, abdominal pain, and much more. Most urgent care facilities offer both diagnostic and preventive care such as well visits, immunizations, STD testing and annual physicals. For regular visits and check-ups on these clinics, you should expect to pay between $20 and $100. The good thing is that most urgent care clinics will accept major PPOs and insurance cover, Medicare, as well as self-pay in the form of credit cards or cash. Urgent care clinics are located in most parts of the country in various regions to offset emergency room visits and provide a gap in healthcare services. They take patients during all hours of operations, which offer a significant convenience to most people who have and continue to undergo the need for sudden and immediate medical attention.
