I am from out of state visiting in the area. I chose this facility from reading the reviews and roughly knew the area of the location. I made an online appointment. From the moment I walked into the facility, being seen and treated, I have nothing but praise and respect for the staff as well as the care I received. I’m this day and age and just visiting with having an unfortunate reason to be seen/treated I was completely satisfied. A little more pricey than I expected but what can I say? Thank you just the same for your professionalism.

Had impacted ear wax removed. (I had a hearing test previously at another place who told me I’d have to go to an ENT to remove it.) Everything from the ease of scheduling to checking in was very efficient. There was very little wait time and all of the staff of kind and professional.

I wanted to have an insect bite looked at to make sure it wasn’t infected. But I didn’t want to deal with an emergency room visit. StatMed was close and I thought it would be a good opportunity to try them out. The receptionist was friendly and helpful. The nurse took some preliminary readings and asked questions about medical history and known allergies. She was also friendly and competent. The doctor was quite friendly and explained everything throughout the examination.  I was very pleased with the experience. Friendly, competent, clean and close by. And they have an in house pharmacy for common medicines - a very nice bonus.

My soar throat turned into an ear ache and sinus congestion. Looked for an urgent care clinic nearby and found Instant Urgent Care. Had taken my daughter there once before but she needed an x-ray they couldn’t provide so didn’t experience the full service. Glad I went back. Got a little lucky in that there was only one patient ahead of me. Everything was smooth and efficient. In and out in less than 30 minutes.

Overview of STD Testing in Stanford

STD testing is an important part of maintaining sexual health, especially for sexually active individuals in Stanford. Many sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) are asymptomatic, meaning they do not show noticeable symptoms, making regular testing essential. People with multiple sexual partners or those who engage in unprotected sex are particularly at risk, but testing is recommended for anyone who is sexually active. STD testing in Stanford can detect a range of infections early, allowing for timely treatment and reducing the risk of serious health complications such as infertility, cancer, and the spread of infections to others. Local testing options in Stanford often include urgent care centers, primary care providers, community health centers, and at-home test kits.

Who should get tested for STDs?

Anyone who is sexually active, especially those with multiple partners, should consider regular STD testing. Testing is also recommended for individuals who engage in unprotected sex or have symptoms of an STD.

How often should I get tested for STDs?

The CDC recommends annual testing for sexually active individuals, particularly for those under 25, men who have sex with men, and anyone with multiple partners. Frequency may vary based on risk factors.

What should I expect during an STD test?

STD testing usually involves providing a urine sample, blood sample, or swab from the genital area, depending on the type of test. Most tests are quick and painless.

How long does it take to get STD test results?

Test results can take anywhere from a few minutes (for rapid tests) to 7 days, depending on the type of test and the provider. Your healthcare provider will give you a timeframe.

Is STD testing confidential?

Yes, STD testing is confidential. Results are shared only with you and your healthcare provider. Many clinics also offer anonymous testing options.
