I was able to schedule the appointment on Saturday night, even though the office was closed, through an on line system. You can even take a photo copy of your medical insurance card through the computer system. The nurse greeted and placed me in a room. The physician was thorough and patient as she evaluated my medical situation. I highly recommend this medical service.

Overview of STD Testing in Lake St. Louis

Who should get tested for STDs?

Anyone who is sexually active should consider getting tested for sexually transmitted diseases (STDs). This is particularly important for those who have multiple sexual partners, engage in unprotected sex, or have a partner who has tested positive for an STD. According to the CDC, regular STD testing is also recommended for men who have sex with men, as they are at a higher risk for certain STDs.

Importance of getting tested

Getting tested for STDs is a crucial part of maintaining good sexual health. Many STDs do not show symptoms, meaning you could be infected and unknowingly pass the disease to others. Regular testing allows for early detection, which can lead to more effective treatment and reduce the risk of serious health complications. It also helps prevent the spread of these diseases within the community.
