Urgent care
I had to bring my GSD in after he really hurt his paw and was limping badly. I wasn’t able to get through to his actual vet. Urgent Pet Care not only got him in right away/ they got him in early. The staff is amazing, from the woman at the front desk, to the vet assistant to the veterinarian herself. My boy is feeling so much better and I saw glimpses of his old self after treatment. It’s hard to trust others with your baby, but everyone here took such great care of him and I couldn’t be happier.

Besides trying to fill out everything on the phone. Everything else went smoothly. Nice to have a place like this in town. Especially when unexpected things happen and the regular clinic is closed. Other members of the family have been in to Urgent care. We like to keep this as a last resort option. Still monitoring my situation closely. May have to go back in.

This is one of the best urgent care experiences that I have ever had. I would recommend the Grand Island Twin Rivers Urgent Care facility to anyone that I know that needs care. Thank you to all of those involved with explaining online registration so that it was easier for me (not computer savvy). God bless you all :) Jessa Soto

I had a great experience hassle free from the comfort of home. My daughter didn't even have to leave her bed which was beyond convenient because she was feeling pretty miserable. I always have a great experience with Mid-West Urgent Care. They have taken care of my family's health for years.

Twin Rivers Urgent Care has (in the few times my husband and I have been there) had the utmost care and respect for us. The two times we've been tested at curbside, the health care providers have been very courteous. Best urgent care in Grand Island.

Everybody was super nice and the drs listened. It was literally the best urgent care I have Been to! The only thing that was awful was the wait time. I was Waiting for 45 minutes in the waiting room alone.

This is the best Urgent Care there is! Ashley and Bryan are amazing. When we can’t see our Primary, I have no worries taking family members here. Excellent care, friendly staff, clean facility, takes time but is still efficient!

I drove to urgent care to have a strep test done. When I got there the door sign said if you have a sore throat or other certain symptoms go back to your car and Start your appointment online. So I did that and when the doctor video chatted with me, he asked me several questions and what was happening and then informed me that nobody was in urgent care on that day. He asked me if there was a sign that said they were closed but it did not. If I would’ve known nobody was in the office I wouldn’t of Went online to start the appointment process. I’m guessing I’m going to get a bill for this online chat with the doctor but it’s gonna be a bill that is going to need to be canceled due to the situation. The doctor said he would let the owners know that they should put a sign up on the door informing the patients if nobody is in the office.

This was my first Time doctoring at Twin Rivers Urgent Care. My experience was somewhat confusing regarding the “signing in/up” process. Also, the young receptionist had a strong Latino accent , spoke very fast and was difficult to hear. Her colleague at the front desk was extremely helpful.

Urgent Care in Nebraska

Nebraska is a large, wholesome state home to farmers and middle-class families. Filled with gorgeous vistas, flat plains, and blossoming fields, it nevertheless faces a lion's share of health issues that require help from more than just traditional hospitals.

Nebraska is definitely saddled with unique health problems. For example, a recent study found that women of color who live there face a higher risk of stroke, heart disease, and cancer. The many farmers in state face their own share of agriculture-related problems, including accidents involving the dangerous machines and tools associated with farming and potential injuries from the animals. Even the stresses of farming for a living can lead to increased risks in heart problems and freak accidents. Swine flu is also a real worry.

The state has access to a number of stellar health systems and organizations, including the Methodist Health System, UNMC, KVC, and Alegent. However, although Nebraska has a wonderful wellness program, it's currently under fire because of the belief that its enviable numbers don't exactly parse. Few people can even afford to take advantage of it, and find it easier and more satisfactory to visit a close-by urgent care facility than to trek to an expensive hospital for problems that don't really need an emergency room visit or a long list of expensive tests.

Urgent care and walk-in clinics are life-saving in many instances. This is partly because Nebraska is poorly prepared for any kind of health disaster. There aren't enough primary care physicians or childcare centers. The result is that residents prefer seeking out the convenient and cost-efficient clinics nearer to their hometowns.

  • What is Urgent Care?

Urgent care is available to assist patients that are looking for immediate, convenient medical care. In that manner, they are similar to an emergency room. The difference, however, is that ERs are meant to treat major, life-threatening injuries and illnesses while urgent care centers manage life’s minor bruises and bumps. In simple terms, an urgent care is seen as a walk-in health center that focuses in offering non-emergent health care conditions, including the treatment of the typical illnesses and injuries such as fractures and sprains, cuts and burns, scrapes, stings and bites, flu and cold symptoms, nausea and vomiting, abdominal pain, and much more. Most urgent care facilities offer both diagnostic and preventive care such as well visits, immunizations, STD testing and annual physicals. For regular visits and check-ups on these clinics, you should expect to pay between $20 and $100. The good thing is that most urgent care clinics will accept major PPOs and insurance cover, Medicare, as well as self-pay in the form of credit cards or cash. Urgent care clinics are located in most parts of the country in various regions to offset emergency room visits and provide a gap in healthcare services. They take patients during all hours of operations, which offer a significant convenience to most people who have and continue to undergo the need for sudden and immediate medical attention.
