Very pleased. They scheduled me the same week. I was able to be tested, treated and seen by a Doctor. The 2 nice Nurses were sanitizing the whole time. Was paying $350 a visit with T3. This visit with Patients Choice was $180 and they take cash.

Today’s visit at Urgent Care North Hills location was overall excellent. Everyone I have encountered today provided the highest customer service which I wanted to express my deepest thank you so I would like to provide a rave review on all of them. Brenda at the front desk was very attentive and got me checked in rather quickly upon my arrival which surprised me.She was very polite and well mannered and even graciously helped me with my inquiry after my appointment. She spoke with clarity and communicated very well. Ruby was my nurse and she was a sweetheart. She gave me thorough directions for my lab work and communicated clearly the directions as well. She even checked up on me while I sat waiting for a while for my results and followed up with my nurse practitioner without me even having to request that. Also she provided me with a refreshing cup of water again without me having to ask which I needed since I was parched while waiting. That is top notch customer service! Erica was my x ray technician and she explained clearly to me what was going on and how she would proceed and eased my nerves. She had a friendly demeanor and made sure my xrays were what they needed to be and got me in and out quickly and effectively. Marissa was my nurse practitioner and I must say she must be the most thorough gentle hearted nurse practitioner that I have ever encountered at an urgent care. I have been to urgent cares all my life and have never encountered such thoroughness and patience for all my questions. She reassured me of my concerns and requested labs to be performed for all my issues. In my prior experiences my visits with urgent cares have been just verbal consultations so I have much appreciation for Marissa and what she provided for me today and express my deepest gratitude. I wish there was some way to thank all these lovely ladies directly for their great patience and friendly demeanor and excellent customer service especially during this critical time. If you can please reward them and keep up the great work in hiring wonderful human beings who are taking care of us out there. I have much appreciation for all of you.

I went in for COVID-19 testing which is obviously not a great experience in and of itself... that being said, Heather the MA who assisted me was friendly and caring and made me feel at ease and helped reassure me that the test would be easy - even the flu test administered, as well as the strep test, both ones that normally give me trouble were done with ease. Daniel Joseph is literally the epitome of what every medical provider should be. He makes you feel as if you are his most important patient even though he is an urgent care provider and not a private doctor that cares for specific patients. Every time I go to a Renown Urgent Care for a visit, I say a silent prayer that he is who will be seeing me that day. Heather remarked that he makes her feel like she needs to do her job better on the days she works with him and I understand why she said that - he is everything you want in a nurse, doctor, PA, etc... Renown is so blessed to have him and I am blessed to be a Renown patient because of him. (Though I love Renown in general!!)

I scheduled an appointment the same day to get a COVID test for my son. Everything was very easy. Once we arrived, we were greeted and checked in by friendly office staff. Waited in our car for a few minutes then was called to come in. We were then greeted by the nicest nurse practitioner (unfortunately I can’t remember her name!) who took my sons vitals, collected symptom info. and administered the nasal swab test. She finished with us and said that the doctor will be right in to talk to my son and further evaluate him (check, ears, eyes, throat, lungs, etc.) Within a few minutes, AJ, the doctor, came in and was just great! My 15-year old son said he was “cool”. His bedside manner was the best I’ve seen in a long time. He was very knowledgeable and informative. I would highly recommend this urgent care facility to everyone I know!

I arrived early to my appointment and was called in a few minutes early as well. I had my Vitals taken by Jenna who was incredibly friendly and informative about my vitals. I did not have to wait long for the PA Tara, who was also incredibly friendly. She gave me some great tips for my sinus care, and even mentioned that because I am a self pay patient, I can reach out to her via chat if I had any follow up questions. I had a horrible experience with another institutions urgent care a few months back, so this experience with Renown was a breath of fresh air. Everyone was so kind and I truly felt listened to. I have multiple other urgent cares closer to where I live, however because of the amazing service I received today I will continue to use Renown when a visit is needed.

I made an appointment for urgent care, same day. I arrived approximately 5 minutes or so to spare. Walked in, checked in, received a mask (not sure if it was for my protection or theirs, either way I’m honored and offended.. kidding) anyways I was then instructed that I would receive two messages. One would be the check in message and the next would be for the appointment. At which point I went and waited in my vehicle. A couple minutes went by and they called to let me know they were ready for me to come in. I was greeted by my doctor, and she was fantastic. She prescribed me medication that will hopefully keep my asthma from having any more flare ups this year. Fingers crossed! Thank you so much, for always providing my family and I with great service. I highly recommend this place!

My husband was welcomed into the appointment I’d booked on Solv after an expedited check-in and very short wait. The doctor’s assistant cordially and efficiently took my vitals, then reassured me that if the small amount of urine I could provide for analysis wasn’t sufficient, I could try again. The P.A.-C appeared shortly thereafter and made every minute count. Like his assistant’s, his manner was kind and calming. He was mindful and genuinely interested in my presenting concerns and our responses to his relevant questions about them. He listened attentively and empathically, formulated a diagnosis based on my symptoms, history, and lab results, and then clearly explained this medical assessment and how we could best address the problem, currently as well as in the future. It was a positive, enlightening experience and we would not hesitate to return to this urgent care clinic should the need arise.

I called ahead and made an appointment time for my local Urgent Care. This is the secret to getting in almost immediately. I actually got in 5 minutes early and after my vitals and medication check by the nurse, was seen by the doctor within minutes. It was decided that I required x-rays and within 15 minutes I was in the x-ray unit getting them. The doctor reviewed my xrays, made his diagnosis and told me that he was going to forward the radiologist's report and his report to the orthopedic dept for possible further action. Very professional, quick, pleasant and all of the further referral was taken care of. All of the information was available on My Chart 2 hours later. Very very satisfied with my care. Highly recommend so long as you call ahead and make an appointment rather than just walk in.

We walked in and signed in around 10am, then headed back to our vehicle. After sitting there for about 20 minutes I received a text saying “your visit with renown urgent care Los Altos is at 1:50 pm today. Reply Y to confirm your visit or N to cancel.” I replied with Y and received another message thanking me and saying we will see you soon. I arrived just before 1:50 and they input our insurance info into the computer and then we waited three hours to be seen. Why text me to be there at a certain time, have me confirm the time, and then make me wait three hours in my vehicle? Besides having the worst system ever to get people in for their visit everything else was fine. The people who cared for my daughter were amazingly nice and wonderful people.

We walked in less than 15 minutes before closing. I was fully expecting to deal with staff that was clearly annoyed at our arriving so close to closing time. The exact opposite! Karen at the front desk was so very sweet and apologized that there was a wait time (which wasn’t long AT ALL). When we made it back into the exam room, now after closing, the nurse and doctor that assisted us were very attentive and didn’t act the least bit put out by us. The doctor checked the issue not once, twice, but three times to make sure she felt confident in her diagnoses. She took the time to make my son feel comfortable and didn’t make us feel rushed. The most wonderful experience we have had at an urgent care EVER!

I came into the Renown Urgent Care on Ryland and was already feeling under the weather. I didn’t have an appointment so I walked in at around 8:35 to do a walk in checkup. At around 11 I was leaving haven gotten 5/5 star care, fantastic group of doctors, nurses, practitioners. I felt cared for, looked after, and they took the time to listen to what I had to say (about my major concerning symptoms) and then checked up on those things while still doing their due diligence and finding the root cause (or probable cause). Overall I had used this location once before and left feeling the opposite of what I did today - after today’s appointment, I can’t give enough praise and can’t wait to recommend them.

The Med Assistant was really nice and clean. She disinfected the vital signs equipment before she used them on me, and she knows how to take vital signs. I have encountered many who took my BP and was very low and they tell me the values, and I just say in my head, “that’s not right”. I know what happens to me when my BP is low at a certain level. And they don’t clean the Pulse Oximeter before they stick it on your finger. This lady did. I was impressed. The doctor was great. My issue was not serious but it’s been twice that I visited this Urgent Care at Damonte Ranch that the Dr covered all bases. Thanks so much for the great service!

When you are miserable it is a real nuisance to have to get dressed and go get medical help. But, I did and I'm so grateful there is an Urgent Care near me (I couldn't get in to see my primary until the following week) Unless you have had bad experiences you can't truly know what good experiences are. What a great group of people there are at the North Valleys Urgent Care. From checking in to being diagnosed they were kind, thoughtful, professional, and caring. And, when you don't feel well you are just itching for someone to just say one thing out of line so you can unleash. They were wonderful! Please, may we keep them? Sincerely, Sandra Jamieson

Once again I needed an Urgent Care visit and lo and behold, I found my nearest Double R with an open appointment in 5 minutes! I hopped in the car, and made it in 10 minutes. Always capable, friendly and efficient staff. Dr. Hall was so thorough in listening to me. Had my ear flushed successfully, received Prednisone and antibiotics for my rescue ring sinus infection and a Ventolin inhaler for my bronchitis. I always come to Urgent Care, even though my primary Caregiver NP takes half an hour to just make the appointment to be seen. Thank you. Thank you Thank you! These places are a godsend, as an alternative to my primary NP.

After a visit to Renown ER with no answer on my sick son and finding out the the ER didn’t run the test they said they did, I decided to take him to the vista urgent care as he wasn’t getting and better and couldn’t hold fluids down. The staff was extremely nice and the doctor was awesome. She looked at his throat and decided to repeat the strep test the Er had done three days prior and this time when swabbed right it was positive. The doctor called in his meds and sent us home. Vista urgent care is awesome and I will be going back anytime it may be needed

BEST URGENT CARE !!!! The staff at the pyramid location are absolutely amazing. I went in to get checked due to a work related injury. Ms.Shantay not only went out of her way to look for me after I stepped outside but she made sure I had enough water and if I was feeling dizzy to get her attention and she would come help. I'm not a big fan or doctors or urgent care but this one I would definitely recommend every time. Thank you to the staff at pyramid you made my bad day into a great day!

This urgent care is amazing! I was kindly greeted right away by Sofia and was taken back right on time for my appointment! Daisy made me feel at home while she roomed me and even made me forget about my pain for a little while. Sweet Elba came in to check to see if I was doing ok while I waited for my provider and that was very comforting. Dan Joseph was amazing! He confirmed my suspicion of infection and made sure to send me home with something that will knock it right out! Feeling better already! Thank you!!

I wish I had known NNV Medical group had an urgent care that also takes appointments before today!! I won’t go anywhere else in town. Clean, professional, organized and just as expedient as we all know them for at their Hospital on the Hill! Thanks staff! Appreciated and will recommend! Can’t say I’m glad that fence post went through my hand. However I had a less than satisfying experience at an UC in town day before (one of those weeks) which made me look for alternative care when I had this accident. Thanks again..

The girl that I checked in with was friendly and super sweet. I asked her to set up my phone… so I could wait at home until I would be seen as a walk in. I was in quite a bit of stomach pain when I got to Renown Urgent care. The nurse I had was efficient… friendly.. .caring and knowledgeable. She assessed my situation… gave me some medication and within 10 minutes…I was out of pain and out the door. New medication and now…back to my life! Thank you so much.

The urgent care book ahead of time (online) is a great resource that caters to your needs. Today I was seen (Daniel J) by one of the most professional and conscientious individuals I’ve ever come across in the medical field. What a special person he is, I feel blessed to have had him in my life today. I believe he stayed late to wait for my test results, he then called me at home and explained the results, finishing up with a plan for moving forward. Thank you Renown.

Urgent Care in Nevada

Nevada is known as one of the healthier states in the country with residents active with outdoor activities like hiking and biking which keeps the state having one of the lowest obesity rates in the country. This helps deter many health-related problems that other states have trouble with. However, with the high violent crime rate and high number of uninsured people in Nevada (over 22 percent of the population) – not to mention the number of people that come to the state each year to party excessively – it is easy to see how hospital emergency rooms may have problems keeping up with the demand.

In a recent study, it was found that over 58 percent emergency room visits in the state could have gone to one of the many urgent care clinics in Nevada. In fact, between 50 and 60 percent of the diagnosis at emergency rooms are better suited for urgent care, particularly non-life-threatening conditions like broken bones, cold and flu symptoms, stomach cramps and many others.

As with most walk-in clinics, urgent care centers require payment for services (or at least an insurance copay) at the time of the visit. With urgent care copays generally in the $35-75 range depending on your insurance and uninsured visits typically ranging from $125-250, patients may want to consider even lower cost options when available. Specifically, retail clinics offer many of the same services as urgent care centers, but being staffed by nurse practitioners or physician assistants, their costs are lower. They do not offer x-ray, lab or other diagnostic services, but can easily treat conditions ranging for stomach virus to minor strains and sprains, in addition to preventative care and immunizations.

Urgent Care FAQs

  • How much will an urgent care visit in Nevada cost?

The price charged at an urgent care, whether in Nevada or elsewhere, will be based on the location, and there are no actual standard costs between the clinics. Assuming you are paying with cash, you might come across an urgent clinic that charges you $50 while another situated some mile away charges you $100 for the same services. The standard cost in urgent care where insurance cover is not involved ranges from $100 to $125. This price is generally the standard price of a visit before extra services. There are a couple of additional care services that could make your appointment to an urgent care costly including x-rays and lab tests, medications and injections (such as immunization), casting broken bones, as well as stitches and splints. If you have a viable insurance plan in place, the standard pay will be between $20 – 50 depending on your insurance coverage and whether you are in contact with the provider.

  • Are Nevada urgent care centers open after hours?

Most primary care doctor offices are open during routine work hours, Monday thru Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Conversely, most of the urgent care centers in Nevada are available after hours, on weekends, and many holidays. Typical urgent care hours are 8:00 am to 8:00 pm daily, although location-specific hours may vary.

  • Do urgent care centers in Nevada take appointments?

Historically, urgent care centers were strictly an on-demand, walk-in healthcare service mode. More recently, as consumer behaviors and expectations have evolved, many urgent care clinics have begun offering book ahead visits, allowing consumers to select a same-day or next-day time that works best for their schedule. Use Solv to find a Nevada urgent care center that offers advanced bookings (or appointments) and book online.

  • How do I book an appointment online with an urgent care in Nevada?

Solv allows Nevada residents and visitors to book urgent care visits online with just a few taps. Same-day and next-day visit times are generally available, and you can search for real-time availability clinics.

  • How can I find an urgent care in Nevada who takes my insurance?

Virtual urgent care visits are generally booked online whether in advance or on-demand. Clinics that do offer virtual care have a video icon on their profiles.

  • What is the best urgent care center in Nevada?

While it would be easy to provide a list of urgent care centers in and around Nevada, 'best' is a challenging term to qualify. For some consumers, that could mean the closest location whereas other people may prioritize patient reviews, service costs, availability, or whether or not the provider accepts their insurance. With the list of locations above, use the filters provided to narrow the results to find the best urgent care for your needs.

  • What is Urgent Care?

Urgent care is available to assist patients that are looking for immediate, convenient medical care. In that manner, they are similar to an emergency room. The difference, however, is that ERs are meant to treat major, life-threatening injuries and illnesses while urgent care centers manage life’s minor bruises and bumps. In simple terms, an urgent care is seen as a walk-in health center that focuses in offering non-emergent health care conditions, including the treatment of the typical illnesses and injuries such as fractures and sprains, cuts and burns, scrapes, stings and bites, flu and cold symptoms, nausea and vomiting, abdominal pain, and much more. Most urgent care facilities offer both diagnostic and preventive care such as well visits, immunizations, STD testing and annual physicals. For regular visits and check-ups on these clinics, you should expect to pay between $20 and $100. The good thing is that most urgent care clinics will accept major PPOs and insurance cover, Medicare, as well as self-pay in the form of credit cards or cash. Urgent care clinics are located in most parts of the country in various regions to offset emergency room visits and provide a gap in healthcare services. They take patients during all hours of operations, which offer a significant convenience to most people who have and continue to undergo the need for sudden and immediate medical attention.
