Urgent care
The "sign in online, prior to showing up" didn't work for us, but we got there 90 mins before closing and there were 30 people in front of us, with only 1 doctor working. Listen, these nurses were busting their butts to get everyone seen and feeling better. All that said, I was released 30 mins before closing and the doctor was able to prescribe medication that I was needing 35 years ago for the asthma and allergies I have been diagnosed with. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Went in on a Saturday, was in and out in under an hour. The staff at the front desk were friendly and efficient, and the NP was great. She listened to my concerns and prescribed the medication that I needed. Feeling better already. It was a five-star experience, and I will recommend this location.

We decided to do our Sports physicals today because we had such a positive experience when we had to come a few weeks ago for an emergency situation with poison ivy. I was very apprehensive to go anywhere due to Covid however we were very pleased and decided that we had no reservations about doing our sports physicals there since it was not time for a well visit at our family doctor. The PA Liz is fantastic!!! She’s very professional, very personable and has a wonderful bedside manner. Olivia, at the front desk, is equally as kind and friendly and makes coming to Broken to Better a Wonderfull experience!! We were encouraged by our Friend and Pharmacist at Goods Pharmacy to try your Urgent care when my daughter needed care on a Sunday due to her poison ivy that was spreading into her eyes and we could not have made a better choice!

Visiting from NC my son broke his collar bone! Went to Piedmont urgent care and left as soon as we walked in the door due to rudeness! For that I am blessed because we stumbled across this urgent care and they are AMAZING! They greeted us kindly and the visit was smooth from start to finish! The physician was great the front office staff were great, the nurse was great and the X-ray tech was great as well! They were kind, polite, explained everything throughly and made my 6 year old feel safe and comfy! Came home and told my family to only use this urgent care from here on out! They provide exceptional care! The office is clean, compliant & was very quick to provide answers! Thank you to all of you who made us feel welcome and safe!

Broken To Better is by far the best urgent care provider I've used in Rock Hill (my regular doctor is good at keeping up with scheduled needs, but as with most such practices, hard to see on really short notice, or on weekends, etc.)... Dr, Baker is not only really competent, with access to a large network of expert "consulting" folks), but is-- and this is so important-- KIND and THOUGHTFUL. I not only felt like I was getting attentive, expert care, but also truly COMPASSIONATE, CONCERNED care. And that's rare in today's medical marketplace. Every member of the staff there was really on top of things, and truly kind and considerate. I can't imagine using another urgent care provider locally!

Broken to Better Urgent Care is a great place. The nurse and Dr. Baker are so nice. Dr. Baker actually listened to my concerns and did not rush my appointment. She did not just send me away and brush off my symptoms. She thoroughly examined me and prescribed meds to relieve symptoms while waiting for COVID results. My results were back in 2 days. The facility was really clean and professional looking. It was super easy to book an appointment online and barely any wait time. I was in and out in a very timely manner. I will definitely be going to this urgent care from now on when I get sick and will highly recommend to family and friends!!!

As I learned earlier today that a relative tested positive for COVID 19 and I was around him last week, I needed to find a testing site to know my health status. Your clinic allowed me access to a rapid test that resulted in a negative result. Your staff were very caring and professional in providing this service to me. I was asked if I had questions after receiving my results and each question was thoroughly answered. Thank you to all the staff involved with my visit to Brocken to Better Urgent Care.

I made an appointment on line and filled out the information. I was seen really quickly. The staff is very professional and friendly. The doctor is wonderful. She asked a lot of questions, did a hands-on exam, asked about medicines I have used and “called in” a prescription. This is the Urgent Care I will be using.

I can’t say this was my favorite because I have no others to compare it to. I was unable to get into my doctor today and they suggested an Urgent Care. Since I frequent that shopping center I went there and was pleasantly surprised. Very efficient people in the back

I have referred several patients to this clinic, but it was the first time I had a need myself. They are quick but not rushed, courteous and thorough. I am thankful to have them nearby - the only option we had before was the urgent care.

This place was great!!! I loved the nurse! He was so nice and personable! The dr asst. was just as great. Kinda wish this was our regular dr and not an urgent care. We live in Chester and will always drive up to this location.

I especially appreciated the knowledge gained from the doctor. Seem like a wonderful place secondary to an emergency room visit. Learning the urgent care is family owned was special. I would recommend this place to theirs.

There was a bit of a wait, with Covid, that was understandable. We were in and out in a timely manner and definitely recommend this urgent care. The staff was polite, friendly, and courteous.

Urgent Care in South Carolina

South Carolina has been ranked 46th by the United Health Foundation for overall health care. 12.1% of the adult population in South Carolina has Diabetes, and 31% are classified as obese.

16% of South Carolina’s population is uninsured. The average hospital bill per day for the uninsured can be as much as $1,557. The most common reason people in South Carolina head to the emergency room is not because of injury, it is usually due to stomach pain or chest pain. The high rate of people seeking emergency care for chest pain is directly related to the high instance of obesity among residents.

Some South Carolina emergency rooms boast that patients typically experience a two-hour wait, half that of the national average. However those two hours could seem like an eternity to someone in pain. South Carolina's urgent care centers ease the congestion on clogged emergency departments by dealing with non-urgent and non-life threatening conditions with minimal wait times and charges. This excellent service is reliably delivered without the need for appointments.

Urgent care facilities have extended hours on week nights, so patients don’t have to alter their schedules in order to be seen. Convenient weekend hours mean quick and quality care is always available. Urgent Care facilities cater to patients with and without insurance, and a visit to urgent care costs far less than a trip to the emergency room.

The readily available and affordable healthcare found at Urgent Care facilities can offer preventative and consistent care, reducing the poor health quality of South Carolina Residents.

Urgent Care FAQs

  • How much will an urgent care visit in South Carolina cost?

The price charged at an urgent care, whether in South Carolina or elsewhere, will be based on the location, and there are no actual standard costs between the clinics. Assuming you are paying with cash, you might come across an urgent clinic that charges you $50 while another situated some mile away charges you $100 for the same services. The standard cost in urgent care where insurance cover is not involved ranges from $100 to $125. This price is generally the standard price of a visit before extra services. There are a couple of additional care services that could make your appointment to an urgent care costly including x-rays and lab tests, medications and injections (such as immunization), casting broken bones, as well as stitches and splints. If you have a viable insurance plan in place, the standard pay will be between $20 – 50 depending on your insurance coverage and whether you are in contact with the provider.

  • What is the best urgent care center in South Carolina?

While it would be easy to provide a list of urgent care centers in and around South Carolina, 'best' is a challenging term to qualify. • What is Urgent Care?

Urgent care is available to assist patients that are looking for immediate, convenient medical care. In that manner, they are similar to an emergency room. The difference, however, is that ERs are meant to treat major, life-threatening injuries and illnesses while urgent care centers manage life’s minor bruises and bumps. In simple terms, an urgent care is seen as a walk-in health center that focuses in offering non-emergent health care conditions, including the treatment of the typical illnesses and injuries such as fractures and sprains, cuts and burns, scrapes, stings and bites, flu and cold symptoms, nausea and vomiting, abdominal pain, and much more. Most urgent care facilities offer both diagnostic and preventive care such as well visits, immunizations, STD testing and annual physicals. For regular visits and check-ups on these clinics, you should expect to pay between $20 and $100. The good thing is that most urgent care clinics will accept major PPOs and insurance cover, Medicare, as well as self-pay in the form of credit cards or cash. Urgent care clinics are located in most parts of the country in various regions to offset emergency room visits and provide a gap in healthcare services. They take patients during all hours of operations, which offer a significant convenience to most people who have and continue to undergo the need for sudden and immediate medical attention.
