I have an extremely painful bout of shingles and I came here to get checked out. All staff was awesome. They didn’t tell me I stink even though I’m sure I do after being told to not put on deodorant that is scented, they were all very polite and understanding. Love love love this office. Highly recommended to all family and friends

I came in one day without an appoint and waited two hours as a walk-in before I had to leave without being tested. I made an appointment through Labcorp for the next day, showed up on time, got tested easily and was on my way in 15-20 minutes. Staff is friendly and helpful.

I was actually touched by the doctor to find out what was up with my ankle and shoulder. Very professional and a professional and caring bedside manner. He also knew Dr. Willingham, my pediatrician. I'm positive I'm going to start going there for my primary care needs in the future. Spoke to a sweet lady who answered my questions very nicely!! Thanks, Maryville ParkMed!! You're #1.

I arrived late due to traffic, and was assured the staff would be calling. The gentleman that asked me to provide my systems was thorough and professional. The Covid/Flu test were negative, and the doctor followed up my symptoms. She was very professional and asked questions to narrow down my issues. She conducted overall physical check, and ask for urine test. Prescribed antibiotics, and I left with a positive experience!

I walked in a very sick woman. From the first hello to the goodbye, I was treated as if I was the only patient who mattered. Compassionate, caring and on top of every symptom I had. My Doctor, Caroline Holland, and her Nurses and staff took excellent care of me. Wasted no time in doing tests to find the diagnosis. I’m not good when a Nurse has to take my blood but the one who did was AWESOME! Thank you to Dr. Holland and everyone who cared for me. Professional and Compassionate and leave Diagnosed! All with kindness and hope you feel better soon! THANK YOU, AFC Chapman.

I had a 1:00 appt for COVID-19 testing. When I checked in, they told me they were running 3 hours behind. They said they would text me when to returned. They texted me at 4:00 to say they were still running behind. I was finally texted at 5:00 to come to the lobby. Throughout, Kimberly was polite and professional. You have a gem there. I saw Lisa who was equally professional and competent. You really need to give those people more staffing.

The MA or nurse (not sure) who did my covid test was incredible and super friendly. Working in healthcare I see a lot of people get stuck in the rut of patient after patient, but she was so upbeat and happy and made me have such a comfortable experience. The male NP who came in was equally as amazing. Not having the covid vaccine has made me feel a bit judged in other medical settings (I’ve had covid and have a high antibody count) but I felt no judgement from this NP. He explained things in the best manner and made me feel completely at ease. A true healthcare professional! So happy with this visit!

As long as my test results make it back to my employer before tomorrow morning job interview time I will give you a 12 star rating even with the little wait time but I was also a walk in so it really wasn't too lonh

It was an overall good experience. Although I had a lengthy wait time before being seen, I understand it was because of risks and to protect others. The check-in process online was alright and Dr. Congress was very nice and I appreciated that she would sit down and just genuinely listen and would offer her advice. The person who conducted the tests was also very nice. I also appreciated how quick the service after being seen was. I would definitely recommend this place in the future.

Results were quick was thoroughly explained and everything i needed to move forward. I would definitely recommend to everyone!

I made an online appointment for a rapid Covid test. I arrived a little bit early and was told to wait in my car until it was time. Sent me a text with instructions on entering the building through a side door. I felt super safe since I didn't have to sit in the waiting room. Nurse was very kind and friendly. Doctor came in to give me the results and explained everything. Answered my questions. I will definitely be back if I have other needs.

I took covid rapid test and flue test, came back negative on both. Talked to Doctor, said tests are not always correct. Stay quarantine and if feel worse go to hospital. I guess thats better than nothing but wish I knew for sure. Every staff member was very nice and helpful.

People on front desk were not very nice! They told me I could not get a urinary infection checked the same time as my Covid test! However the doctor was wonderful and did check it and following up with my doctor and me the next day! Nurses and doctors were wonderful! Third time I have been there and 2 times front office staff were rude! I would return because doctors are very nice and caring!

I have been to this AFC location multiple times (for COVID and non-Covid issues) and have been pleased with my treatment every time! My latest visit was for a Covid test and I knew there would be a long wait. I was informed of my wait time when I arrived, was sent an wait-time update text during my wait and actually got in quicker than anticipated! I truly appreciate this clinic and their staff ( ESPECIALLY DAVID AND JANET)! Janet and David never rushed me while I discussed my symptoms/lack of symptoms, expressed my concerns and answered ALL of my questions during my visit! I can not imagine the stress that health care workers are going through right now (and all throughout the ongoing COVID pandemic), but greatly appreciate the professionalism, caring and friendliness shown by all the members of the Chapman Hwy AFC clinic staff! THANK YOU AGAIN!!!🥰

This was the first visit to this clinic. The facility was clean. My son was tested for flu and strep which was surprisingly negative since he could not swallow due to his throat being so incredibly sore. The doctor did not prescribe antibiotics in which I feel that an extremely sore throat with excessive green phlegm was really needed. She only prescribed mouth wash and something for occasional cough. He still 2 days later has an extreme sore throat so not really sure what move to make next.

Quick intake, appreciated being able to make appointment and complete paperwork online in advance of visit. Very nice tech/nurse yellow scrubs black hair very professional and kind. This was first covid test for my husband and I. She explained everything and was efficient as well as friendly. Office was busy but we did not feel that we were rushed/pushed through.

I thought I had COVID. So I wanted to be tested. Turns out by blood pressure had bomb out as I was very dehydrated. The Dr called ahead to hospital for me and a nice Dark heading young man who took care of me was exceptional.

Booked COVID test on line but wait time was almost an hour and a half. Called before I left for the appointment and was told at that time they were running about an hour and a half late. Staff was very courteous and room was very clean. Received test results 24 hours later. Would definitely recommend.

I started getting sick yesterday evening & I needed a place that opened early on a Sunday to be seen due to having a small child & my job. Maggie was wonderful! She was attentive to all my complaints & she did thorough testing on me. The front desk girl was nice as well. She told me if I needed anything as I was leaving to please call them & let them know. I had only seen this clinic driving by but never been here before. When searching for urgent cares open at 8 they popped up. I was able to easily make an appointment online & do all my paperwork as well. Such an easy, smooth & wonderful visit. Will definitely be back & have already recommended to other people. Thank you!

- Verified patient on 10/3

The people at the front desk went above and beyond to make sure my visit was comfortable and the doctor walked me through each step to my tests to make sure I was comfortable. The nurse was kind and talked to me while taking my blood. It was an overall good experience they are my go to for any medical issue.

I along with my son were tested for Covid and the process was very smooth and quick. The only problem I had was parking because 1st Watch customers parked on the AFC side. This is not right when their are sick people in need of care.

- Verified patient on 7/23

My initial wait time was fine. After I took the test, they forgot about me until I opened the door and asked why I was still there. Shortly after that the doctor came in and apologized for my wait. Then I was discharged and on my way a few minutes later.

- Verified patient on 2/5

I made an appointment for a Covid Rapid Test. It was for 2:30 pm but I arrived at 1:30 because I was in the area. I was told the wait was still around 1 1/2 hrs. I was texted to come in at 2:48 pm and I was out with my results by 3:26 pm. Considering everything I felt this was a fair amount of time. The staff was very pleasant and I commend their efforts. I’m sure they are exhausted! Hoping for a calmer ***! Happy New Year!

Knoxville Lab Tests

Lab tests take samples of your blood, urine, saliva, and other bodily secretions, which are then analyzed in a lab to help doctors diagnose and treat certain illnesses. Lab tests can be used to diagnose an illness, detect changes in an existing condition, and monitor how your body responds to a therapy, among other things. They can also be used to monitor the progression of a disease or a set of diseases.

If your doctor is unable to make a definitive diagnosis of your disease, or if you are having a variety of symptoms that could indicate a variety of disorders, he or she may request a lab test. To see how you're responding to a drug or to check if you're at risk for certain diseases, lab tests may be performed.

Some lab tests require no preparation at all, while others may require you to fast for eight to twelve hours before the test in order to avoid erroneous results from certain meals and beverages. Your healthcare provider may advise you to cease smoking, exercising, and taking certain medications and nutritional supplements for many hours or days before your blood test.

Before your lab test, ask your doctor for precise instructions to follow to minimize erroneous results and multiple trips to the lab for additional testing. A lab worker may use a needle to draw blood from your arm or prick your finger to collect a small sample of blood during a blood test. During a urine test, your physician will ask you to go to the restroom and urinate in a sterile cup, then set your sample on a shelf where a lab technician can pick it up and process it. The personnel at the lab testing facility will demonstrate how to do each type of test.
