Had a sore throat for days. I always get strep throat. Most common strep test came out negative so swabbed for a test that tests more strains but results take a day or two and it is Friday! While waiting for my strain test to come back and after exam prescribed antibiotics and throat spray. Fast friendly service which is much appreciated when you feel so bad. Thanks to all the staff.

I've been here twice, and I was so impressed with the way that this staff took great care of me. Juan is so helpful and good at what he does, and Dr.Godinez's explanation of symptoms and sincere help to answer all my medical concerns. I just had to leave a review for them that is awesome. I am in no hurry to return but if anything does happen, they will be my first call.

We decided to come here due to PrimaCare being closed on Tuesdays and my baby girl needed to be seen…we called before making the 30mins drive and was pleased to know that they took walk-ins…upon arrival, we were told that there was an hour wait but I didn’t mind at all…paperwork was sent via text (link provided in text) which was a breeze to fill out versus a physical application…the initial hour wait was actually 30mins…the nurses and Dr. Anjenette (sorry if I misspelled your name) are AMAZING!!! Extremely friendly, courteous, and you can tell that they love working with kiddos…I will DEFINITELY be back if baby girl ever needs to be seen…no more PrimaCare for us :-)

This was a great experience to get a well check. I didn’t have to drive anywhere and I waited on my comfy patio in the cool morning. I really love the idea of being able to visit virtually unless there was a need for physical contact. This was a great experience! The check in process was very easy. I was trying to book an appointment with my physician and I learned of the virtual opportunity.

Have been to Affordacare a couple times before when starting a new job for company I’m with, to get a physical and TB test, and then today due to allergy complications and eye irritation. Every time I’ve been the staff have been attentive and courteous/friendly, communicative and helpful. Definitely thought of them first today due to positive experience I had getting a job related physical before, and they were professional and gave me assurance and peace of mind.

I only needed a physical to submit to my college for the fall semester. The staff rushed through reading the requirements for taking a tuberculosis test. I did not have any symptoms but the staff required me to take it. I do want my results on 7/2/***. I asked the test administrator about this and she stated the doctor would not see me without the test. I did take the skin test but I went to a different care provider not in the Primacare system and that doctor completed my physical which I submitted to my university.

Took my son in today as a walk in for a sport physical around 4:30pm but had to come back at 8:15pm. All was good with to staff and doctor. The only thing I would have to say is that although the waiting area and put rooms looked nice and clean. I kept seeing little net flies around my son even killed 2 of them around him. Maybe the trash isn't taken out every day and that's causing the flies...

I truly do not know what I would do without Dr. Owusu!! She takes EXCEPTIONAL care of me, my family and even my 85 year old Daddy. We are so blessed to have such excellent medical care 5 minutes from our home. Dr. Owusu and her staff are not only professional and courteous, but they TRULY care about you!! Dr. Owusu not only treats your physical condition, but you leave her knowing that she has also soothed your soul by giving you sound and loving care!

I absolutely love coming to this place. I've had terrible experiences in visiting doctors, which has caused me to go into panic mode every time I get near them and avoid going overall. However, I leave this place feeling much better both physically and mentally due to how well and organized the clinic is. Communication is superb, wait times are minimal, and I love that scheduling is so easy when doing online (as well as filling out paperwork). Lastly, the staff is very friendly, kind, and knowledgeable. This is what eases my anxiety at every visit I've made.

We always have a great experience, we have been using this location for about 4- years now and. Are always very pleased with the staff, love all the doctors and we've seen about 6- diffrent doctors. Im so glad they are in n my neighborhood, its so convient. We hardly use his regular doctor, except for annual physicals & shots.

Very kind and friendly. I deal with mental health issues and it was really nice to be treated like a human adult and not a kid, or like someone had to walk on eggshells for. Was very insightful, gave me more resources if I needed help. Wait time went over by 10 minutes (appt at 130, got seen at 140), but in total it was only a 30 minute appointment (ended at 2) Its also cheaper to go through IUC online than it is at the physical locations ($60 online or $110 in person!)

Despite the COVID precautions, the staff was friendly, courteous, helpful...the doctor was amazing. I love the way she describe the physical procedures to my son. She was very through as if he were her general practice patient. She was kind and when she was done she told hime some safety tips to remember during the season. At the end of the visit, she asked for questions again, wished him a safe and fun season, then told us should we loose the paperwork, they would have a copy on file. Despite the masks, you could tell everyone was smiling and happy to help us. While this is urgent care, the warm feeling of love and peaceful atmosphere that said "How can we help you" definitely made us want to go back.

Great service. Wife could not go down stairs due to her physical condition the house call was the answer. To have a physician like Dr Ybarra show up 20 min. before scheduled time was good. To have a radiologist bring his equipment up one story with no elevator---how good is that???& have Hecktor for blood sample in our room. All this & never had to leave the room..One drawback, I would have liked to see all the billing done on 1 invoice for insurance--do you know every invoice I have to fill out a form. Lets try all-in-on.

I was very impressed how the doctor & nurses responded. They took care of me from the car: did the assessment, history, physical and treatment. They were all very concerned about me & acknowledged/abided by the PPE/Covid precautions. Someone called me 3 days after the visit to give me results of my COVID-19 test, as well as, they had taken a chest x-ray: had it reviewed by the radiologist remotely & had results within minutes. I was very impressed with this company & I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again! 3 words can describe them: Awesome, awesome, awesome!

Everything was great except for the little chubby girl that took the initial blood pressure. I think I have the white coat thing because I always have to take 2 or 3 readings when I go for the cdl physical. All I did was ask her a question and she got very upset. The lady at the check in and the doctor were very nice.

I had an appointment at 12:40. I arrived 2 minutes late because the address takes you to suite 400, and there are no signs which tell people suite 200 is around back of building. Therefore, I sat in my car for 10 minutes only to find I could not go through building. As I sat in front (which I normally don’t mind because I understand triage) 3 people were seen before me. One with sciatic pain, well, ok. One was a HS physical, um wrong and the other I don’t know about. Other than having to wait 1 hour and 15 minutes, I would highly recommend, the care was amazing!

My 15 year old son has autism and needed a sports physical. We were greeted immediately by 2 very welcoming ladies at the front desk. The lady who took my son's vitals was very friendly and kind. The PA was very efficient and also friendly. It was a great visit. Everyone made us feel welcome and comfortable. Definitely will recommend to others and return.

I had an appointment at 2pm. I arrived 10 minutes prior to 2pm and checked in. I was scheduled for covid19 test by curbside. I waited in my vehicle until 2:40 and several people arrived after me and still no one ever came out to administer the test. I called them and told them I had to leave for a different appointment and that I had been there 10 minutes before my 2pm appointment and here it was 2:40 and I still had not been tested. Reception said they don't really do appointments its just a slot and that they had actual patient inside that was getting a physical. I ended up leaving for my other appointment and had to return back for my covid19. I was then told I had to go inside for test not curbside due to weather and it was a little chilly but no rain.? I ended up getting tested at 5pm. Too long if a wait time after I did what I was told when I called to make my 2pm appointment. I completed on line paperwork, uploaded insurance, uploaded drivers license, completed my profile arrived 10 minutes prior to my 2pm appointment as instructed.

I join the video call and was talking to a doctor in less than 10 minutes I had small questions that came to mind and all were answered perfectly and simply put so I can understand honestly this is very convenient because I had no way of visiting a doctor physically at the moment today and everything was perfect using this video call

This is my third time going, everything was excellent, except that they never sent my prescription to the pharmacy. I called the clinic twice to advise them but the pharmacy never received it. So after waiting two hours at the pharmacy, I just decided to drive back to the clinic before they closed and physically picked up the prescription and took it myself. That was the major inconvenience I had this time. Hope next time I go, I don’t have this issue.. Thank You,

The wait was a bit long but that is everywhere for walk-ins. I just went in for a sports physical my child needed and found out about hours before. I thank the staff for dealing with all they are dealing with(Covid, Flu, RSV, back to school and emergency care). They are heroes right now and I thank them very much.

I went in for a pre employment physical evaluation and a drug screening, went pretty well, except for the urine drug test. I have never done any drugs in my life, but this thing made it look like I do. it came back positive for opioids and morphine, a substance that naturally occurs in poppy seeds, which I ate on two “everything bagels” for lunch the previous day. Poppy seeds have enough codeine and morphine that naturally are in them that it triggered this false positive. I am just disappointed that the test can’t differentiate from a person who naturally consumes it through food, or malicious illegal use of a substance. I can’t believe that an everything bagel could be the cause of a bump in the road for me getting a job. Now I have to wait 3 to 5 days for an “accurate” lab test to see if it was naturally consumed through food, or ingested some other way, in which I have no idea how.

Kingsbury Physical Exams

A annual physical exam (or annual well visit) is a routine check-up where a doctor or healthcare provider checks you for routine health issues and asks you basic questions about your health. During a physical exam, the doctor will most likely go over your medical history and ask you questions about the current state of your health. They'll also check vital signs like your heart rate, blood pressure, and temperature, as well as take a look at whether your skin appears healthy. You'll also get a head and neck exam, a lung exam (using a stethoscope), an abdominal exam, a neurological exam, and more. Women may get a breast and pelvic exam and men may get prostate, penis, testicular, and hernia exams.

Annual exams are important because they can help you find out about health issues early on so treatment can begin as soon as any problems are discovered. If you're overweight or you're at risk for diabetes, you'll most likely get a blood sugar test too. Everyone over the age of three should have a physical exam every year. At age 50, your doctor might start screening for colorectal cancer. At 40, women should begin getting regular mammogram screenings for breast cancer. Women ages 45 to 54 should get them yearly and women 55 and older should get them (at minimum) every two years.

More Details about Physical Exams

A physical examination is frequently done as part of a doctor's routine checkup. You can better prepare for your next medical appointment by learning more about what happens during a physical exam.

Physical examination

A physical examination is when your healthcare practitioner examines and studies your body to determine whether you have a physical health concern. Inspection, palpation, auscultation, and percussion are the four components of a physical examination, according to the National Library of Medicine (NLM).

Your doctor examines your body for concerns such as skin imperfections during the examination. According to the National Library of Medicine, palpation is the process of feeling your body with your fingers or hands, such as when a doctor feels for a tumor or mass.

Auscultation is a procedure in which your doctor listens to sounds, such as your heartbeat. Percussion entails making noises, such as tapping on various body parts. According to the National Library of Medicine, this is normally done to establish the size and consistency of your organs, as well as the presence or absence of fluids in specific locations.

The purpose of an annual physical exam

An annual physical exam, according to the National Library of Medicine, can help you detect and prevent health concerns you may not be aware of.

A yearly physical exam is used to check for diseases such as cancer and to see whether you are at risk for certain health issues such as diabetes. According to the National Library of Medicine, a yearly physical checkup allows you to stay up to date on vaccines and other preventative health treatments, as well as make good lifestyle choices that improve your overall health. Another advantage of getting an annual physical examination is that you can keep in constant contact with your doctor if you acquire an illness or chronic disease.

How to prepare for a physical examination

According to the National Library of Medicine, arriving prepared for your appointment can help you get the most out of your visit and avoid unnecessary follow-ups with your doctor.

First, go over your family's medical history and be ready to discuss any health conditions that run in your family, such as high blood pressure, cancer, or diabetes. According to the National Library of Medicine, your doctor may use this information to see if you're at risk for these same health issues.

The National Library of Medicine suggests that you check to see whether any general checkups or vaccines are needed. If you're not sure, call your doctor ahead of time so you can dress correctly or make extra arrangements if you need to go through specific tests.

Lastly, the NLM suggests writing down a list of issues and questions to mention during your appointment. For example, if you’ve been experiencing any new or different symptoms, write these down so your doctor can examine you for related health problems.

How a physical examination is performed

According to the National Library of Medicine, the manner in which your physical exam is conducted is mostly determined by your gender and age, due to changes in anatomy and health problems that affect different age groups.

Male examination

According to the National Library of Medicine, males between the ages of 18 and 39 have their height, weight, and body mass index (BMI) examined at every appointment. Males in this age bracket may be questioned about mental health issues such as depression, as well as their eating, exercise, and substance use habits. Blood pressure, cholesterol, diabetes, and heart disease may all be checked.

According to the National Library of Medicine, men aged 40 to 64 receive the same services as men aged 18 to 39, as well as screenings for colorectal cancer, lung cancer, prostate cancer, and osteoporosis. Men in their sixties and seventies may also be asked about their medications and whether they have recently fallen.

Female examination

At each checkup, females between the ages of 18 and 39 will have their height, weight, and BMI measured. According to the National Library of Medicine, females should have their blood pressure tested every one to two years, and cervical cancer screenings should begin at the age of 21. During their regular physical, females in this age bracket may also have diabetes and cholesterol screenings.

According to the National Library of Medicine, women between the ages of 40 and 64 receive all of the same services as younger women, as well as lung cancer, colorectal cancer, and osteoporosis screenings. Women over the age of 65 may be subjected to routine mammograms and may be asked about any medications they are taking.

Lab tests

Based on the findings of your physical exam, your doctor may prescribe lab tests to confirm or rule out one or more diseases. The NLM says that lab tests may be used as part of examinations for disorders like colorectal cancer and cervical cancer.

Before your appointment, call your doctor to find out if you'll be having lab tests and what they'll entail so you can make the required preparations.

Following up after a physical examination

If one of your screens or lab tests comes back positive or inconclusive, you may be contacted following your physical examination. In such cases, your doctor will contact you to discuss treatment options or to prescribe more testing and screening. Your doctor can tell you more about what to expect after your physical exam in terms of follow-up.
