Had a sore throat for days. I always get strep throat. Most common strep test came out negative so swabbed for a test that tests more strains but results take a day or two and it is Friday! While waiting for my strain test to come back and after exam prescribed antibiotics and throat spray. Fast friendly service which is much appreciated when you feel so bad. Thanks to all the staff.

I walked in, checked in on my phone and was seen in a very short time. All staff was friendly and answered all my questions and listened attentively. Received appropriate treatment and am feeling much better.  Facilities are immaculately clean. I would definitely recommend.

I scheduled an appointment, I was called back for vitals 15 minutes after the appointment time. A walk in was taken in before (no sign of emergency) ,then waited 45 minutes in a room to be seen. I could hear side conversations from the room. Which is unprofessional, I am a nurse myself and just needed to get my child cleared for school. When I take my children to be seen I do not say my profession, I like to see how people are treated, and needless to say I was spoken to as if I didn’t even understand what a temperature is. The care received was subpar. I will not be back.

The wait takes a little while but honestly that’s to be expected when you’re at any hospital or clinic. Everyone is very kind and accommodating. Always a very clean clinic. Only thing I would recommend is to turn the tv down in the lobby. When you’re ill and or having a headache all day the last thing you want to hear is the tv blaring. Thanks bunches ladies

These folks got it all down!! Will never make the mistake and go to a different urgent care closer to me. Scheduled less than 1 hour before arriving at end of day like possibly the last patients and they took excellent care of my daughter. So quickly and testing completed rapidly . The provider was very kind and understanding. She met our needs and meds were given there . Pharmacy got the order we picked up before 9pm. The staff was all amazing !! Thank you for your service ❤️. 10 out of 10 would recommend.

Booking online was easy and quick. Since I did the forms online, check-in was also s quick and easy. Front desk ladies were friendly and polite. Our nurse Mallory, was truly an Angel to us…couldn’t have a better nurse than her!! She seriously was the kindest, most professional and empathetic nurse who understood and helped our needs. I can’t thank her enough. Doctor was thorough and provided more help!! I couldn’t have chosen a better urgent care to go to!

Front desk receptionist was incredibly rude. Doctor was WONDERFUL!!! As was everything else. but the receptionists prevailing attitude was disdainful contempt and that I was bothering her with any question I asked.

My little one has a pediatrician, but lately it has been hard to get an appointment when she feels ill. I decided to go to Little Spurs Urgent Care as a walk-in. I really liked our experience. The ladies at the front were very nice and helped us with the sign up process. Although this was our first visit, the wait time was reasonable and they quickly saw my daughter. Bedside manner was amazing and they made my little one feel safe.

About Tetanus Shots

A tetanus shot is used to prevent tetanus, also known as lockjaw. Tetanus is a bacterial infection that can lead to painful muscle spasms, and oftentimes, death. Adults in the US have to be vaccinated against tetanus because there's currently no cure for it and roughly 10 to 20 percent of victims die from tetanus. Symptoms of tetanus come from a toxin produced by tetanus bacteria and usually begin appearing about a week after the infection occurs. The most common symptom is muscle stiffness that begins in the jaw and spreads to the neck, arms, legs, or abdomen, but other symptoms include trouble swallowing, headache, fever and sweating, irritability and restlessness, high blood pressure, palpitations, and muscle spasms in the face.

It's important to get treated for tetanus as soon as you know you're infected because if it's not treated quickly enough, you can die from suffocation. Tetanus shots are given in the shoulder muscle. If you've never had a tetanus shot before, you might be given a three-dose primary series. You'll get the first dose as a three-in-one combination called Tdap that prevents tetanus, pertussis (whooping cough), and diphtheria (Td). The other two doses will usually be a dual vaccine and you'll receive them over a 7 to 12 month period. You should receive a tetanus vaccine between 2 months and 6 years old, as well as a teenager and an adult. Pregnant women might need a tetanus shot during the third trimester of pregnancy.
