Urgent care
It was my first time at Carbon Health Urgent Care and it was a wonderful experience. From the young lady at the front desk, to Abby, to Lara. They were all very friendly and helpful. It’s no fun being under the weather, but it great when you receive outstanding care.

Urgent care
Used the online site to schedule a same day appointment for my son.  Very easy & efficient.  Short wait at the clinic.  Good service.  Only issue is the medicine prescribed was very expensive.  Wish I would have known to ask about alternative treatments/medicines before I left the clinic.

Urgent care
My experience here was very poor. I barely was able to drive myself to get seen and cared for either COVID or Flu. After the test, the technician informed me that I had the Flu. I was offered no medication despite having massive chills, body aches, fever, and congestion. For a day and a half after the visit, I suffered with full blown symptoms. I wish I had a choice of providers that accepted my insurance plan because this clinic does not provide standardized care. Again, I was not provided any medication and suffered with symptoms for days later.

Once again 5 star service from FNP Molly Omohondo. She is thorough, listens to your concerns and gets you in and out in a timely fashion. My only wish is that she could be used as a primary care physician. We LOVE her! I do think the appointment scheduling for Express Care is the dumbest thing JCMG could do. You have advertised for years as a first come first serve and I as a patient would be mad if I were not aware of the scheduling option and walked in and had been waiting a long time and then someone made an appointment and walks in and goes right back. Either be urgent care or not plus I witnessed an older gentleman trying to sign in on the app as a walk in and it was a joke. Your older generation is not going to like or understand this.

Had an appointment and still had to wait 20 minutes before being seen. This time was not for paperwork because I was in earlier in the week. Also, what’s the purpose of making the patient upload their ID and insurance online if you still require it at check in. Seems like a waste of time for the patient to even bother uploading it before hand. Receptionist kept coughing into her hand, patients at check in use the same clipboards and pens without any cleaning occurring between uses. After completing rapid test, had to wait 15+ minutes for the nurse practitioner to stop by for less than a minute. Overall took almost an hour for less than 5 minutes of required time. I would not recommend to others due to the lack of regard to being an URGENT care.

Went in talk to receptionists had problems with the new signing in system so she was fast to help, let me fill out papers instead and she filled it out on computer. Then after a short wait nurse come out to take me back to the room .She was always nice and polite even though I had hearing problems. Doctor came in with in minutes after nurse left, The whole visit took about 35 to 40 min. They also called in my meds fast so when I picked them up they were ready with out a wait . Very pleased will be back if I need urgent care again.

They are always so nice and amazing with my kids!!! Even feeling awful from illness we always get a good laugh in there!!! They're extremely caring and the facility is always very clean!!! And it's so easy to get checked in , get in a room, and in no time you're done!!!! This is by far the best urgent care I've ever been too....I actually don't even goto their regular doctor office unless it's their regular check ups I'd rather come here because I feel extremely comfortable and not judged at all!!!! Family feel!!! :) Thank you for all your help!!!

I had an awesome visit. Katie was my medical professional and I cannot say enough about her compassion, bed side manners and making sure I was comfortable while I was getting treated. I called her a Doctor and she corrected me by saying ‘she’s a Nurse Practitioner’. In my eyes she’s a doctor. She is truly a God sent and really cares about her patient’s. I know during this Pandemic like many others; she was right there on the front line. Thank you 🙏 again Dr. Katie ☺️ and Urgent Care~

Wait time was normal, doctor listened and was attentive, the receptionist was a little rude (not the main building receptionist, but the urgent care receptionist), but the rest of the staff was friendly, building and restrooms were all clean and well kept, and most importantly we got the medical care we needed!! Using Solv services was very helpful since I have to drive a long distance (1 hour drive) to get to Urgent Care and compared to previously going to Urgent Care without an appointment everything went a lot smoother.

I prefer this location for all of our family’s urgent care needs. I visited today for a curbside Covid rest. I made an appointment and still waited 1.5 hours. I understand wait times, but why offer appointment times? I would much rather have come this morning and waited, than wait all day, come to an appt and wait some more. The doc that did my test was not overly friendly but professional. I appreciate this service being available and will continue to visit this location when the need arises.

Overall, a horrible time. I got in at a decent time and didn’t see the doctor until 2 hours after being in the room. The nurse and doctor both rolled their eyes and had looks of confusion like I was speaking a foreign language, when I told them my symptom with what I was experiencing. It took the doctor over 45 minutes to give me my papers. The front desk lady, however, was amazing and very nice. I was in the urgent care for over 3 hours.

I must tell you that Megan was extraordinary. The nurse that initially saw me, also very uplifting. We have family friends living living in Jamaica and a young dad lost his life last week because, even though he was able to be hospitalized, he could not get the ICU bed that he needed. I am so grateful for my urgent care on church road and and for having resources that we so often take for granted. God bless and don't forget special accolades to Megan...front desk. Julia

My husband had got a sap poison in his eyes. They were burning really bad and watering and very bood shot. He also could not see very well. We went to urgent care and told them what happened. While we were checking in the doctor came out to see my husband. We went quicklyto a room and was seen. She checked out his eyes and put some deadening drops in them. What a relief!! However temporary. The doctor was GREAT!! Great bedside manner and care!!

Because the lab to which I'd gone for my COVID PCR test never reported my results, I had to scramble at 5 am to find a facility at which to be tested. Thankfully, the agent at American Airlines directed me to Creve Coeur Urgent Care! Dr. Alazzani was able to do a rapid antigen test as soon as I arrived and Ms. Pickens handled all of the paperwork. Thanks to them, I was still able to get to Barbados on the day intended!

The nurses and doctor were very efficient, concerned with cleanliness and safety and thorough. They took time to listen to all of the symptoms and the situation. We felt reassured with the test results and the discharge instructions that were written down. Although they were scheduled to close 10 after our arrival, they stayed open to give my husband a flu test and results. This great care and service is why we always choose Providence Urgent Care!

My visit to NextCare UrgentCare was good! I scheduled an appointment online and was able to get right in. There was not a wait at all and the medical assistant and provider were both very friendly and knowledgeable. I recommend NextCare urgent care for anyone who has a need to see a provider but can’t get in to their primary care provider. They provide the best care of urgent care facilities in Lee’s Summit.

My Dr. was not in the office so they told me to go to Urgent Care. If I had known I could call ahead and scheduled a time, I would have done that. We had a long wait time. It would have been nice to be sitting at home and leave when my appointment was getting close. The care was great and the staff was great.

I went in with breathing issues they took me back immediately and started testing to find what was going on. I had pneumonia which I had asked my Doctor if he thought it was that at my appointment. I have been there several times and have been satisfied with the services. BEST urgent care in the area.

Urgent care walk in appointment due to extreme high blood pressure. Was seen quickly. Staff was very friendly. Nurse practioner listened to me and took into consideration what i told her regarding my issue. Prescribed the lowest dose of medication she thought would be effective. I really appreciated that. I don't like taking meds.

Urgent Care in Missouri

With hospitals and urgent care centers all across Missouri, residents have easy access to healthcare. There are even some top-rated hospitals in the larger metropolitan areas. For instance, the Barnes-Jewish Hospital of Washington University is nationally recognized with 15 high-ranked specialists. Other great hospitals include Mercy Hospital in St. Louis, St. Luke's Hospital in Kansas City, and Freeman Hospital in Joplin.

Missouri has an interesting topography because half of the state is covered by plains and the other half is covered by the Ozark Mountains. The two areas are then divided by the Missouri River. This leaves endless outdoor recreational activities for residents and visitors. It also causes sports injuries that are best treated at urgent care facilities, unless they are life threatening. Additionally, Missouri suffers from harsh winters and humid summers. This creates asthma and other allergy issues that are easy to treat at urgent care facilities.

Missouri has several urgent care facilities across the state. They help to keep the wait times in the emergency rooms low. This is because they are perfect for treating urgent healthcare problems that are not immediately life threatening. For instance, urgent care facilities are the perfect place for treating minor lacerations that need stitches, sore throats, and minor bone fractures such as toes. Emergency rooms will always have their place, but urgent care facilities in Missouri often have faster care and lower costs than the hospitals. They are also faster than getting in to see a general practitioner.

Urgent Care FAQs

  • How much will an urgent care visit in Missouri cost?

The price charged at an urgent care, whether in Missouri or elsewhere, will be based on the location, and there are no actual standard costs between the clinics. Assuming you are paying with cash, you might come across an urgent clinic that charges you $50 while another situated some mile away charges you $100 for the same services. The standard cost in urgent care where insurance cover is not involved ranges from $100 to $125. This price is generally the standard price of a visit before extra services. There are a couple of additional care services that could make your appointment to an urgent care costly including x-rays and lab tests, medications and injections (such as immunization), casting broken bones, as well as stitches and splints. If you have a viable insurance plan in place, the standard pay will be between $20 – 50 depending on your insurance coverage and whether you are in contact with the provider.

  • Are Missouri urgent care centers open after hours?

  • What is the best urgent care center in Missouri?

While it would be easy to provide a list of urgent care centers in and around Missouri, 'best' is a challenging term to qualify. With the list of locations above, use the filters provided to narrow the results to find the best urgent care for your needs.

  • What is Urgent Care?

Urgent care is available to assist patients that are looking for immediate, convenient medical care. In that manner, they are similar to an emergency room. The difference, however, is that ERs are meant to treat major, life-threatening injuries and illnesses while urgent care centers manage life’s minor bruises and bumps. In simple terms, an urgent care is seen as a walk-in health center that focuses in offering non-emergent health care conditions, including the treatment of the typical illnesses and injuries such as fractures and sprains, cuts and burns, scrapes, stings and bites, flu and cold symptoms, nausea and vomiting, abdominal pain, and much more. Most urgent care facilities offer both diagnostic and preventive care such as well visits, immunizations, STD testing and annual physicals. For regular visits and check-ups on these clinics, you should expect to pay between $20 and $100. The good thing is that most urgent care clinics will accept major PPOs and insurance cover, Medicare, as well as self-pay in the form of credit cards or cash. Urgent care clinics are located in most parts of the country in various regions to offset emergency room visits and provide a gap in healthcare services. They take patients during all hours of operations, which offer a significant convenience to most people who have and continue to undergo the need for sudden and immediate medical attention.
