How much does COVID testing cost?

COVID testing can be free in many circumstances. As part of their response to the epidemic, many Florida health departments continue to provide free testing to community citizens. In some situations, commercially insured patients, as well as those on Medicare or Medicaid, may be able to get testing for free or for a small office visit fee. COVID tests can cost anything from $50 to $150 each test for cash-paying individuals or those who require speedy answers in under an hour. It's best to call your doctor before getting tested so you can get a better idea of how much the test will cost.

Where can I get free COVID testing?

The Families First Coronavirus Response Act, which covers testing for people without health insurance, makes COVID testing free nationwide. Check with your local Florida health department for details since they are usually an excellent source of free COVID tests, or can at least lead you in the proper way. You can also ask your health care practitioner for a recommendation for a free COVID test location.

Where can I get COVID testing in Florida?

COVID testing is available at many outlets near Florida including urgent care centers, retail clinics, primary care offices, health departments, and more. Different venues will have different types of tests available, many at different price points. Some testing sites are allowing walk-in patients, however, many are still requiring some degree of advance booking to control patient volume.

This was a virtual visit on a Friday night, urgent since I had an infected cat bite.They responded immediately and the Doctor was quite concerned. She was knowledgeable, knew my history, asked pertinent questions and told me what to do if it wasn't healing in 2 days, all while having called in the antibiotic prescription so I could fill it that evening. I am quite relieved that I am a patient at Associates MD, and recommend this Urgent Care center to anyone.

I really like Dr. Mushtag! He is caring and easy to talk to, Does not rush, and shows much personal interest...Too bad most doctors are not like him. My only complaint is I didnt know how to spell his name and it seems impossible to call his office, They put you through a nationwide general info but not the office you wanr to reach!
