I wish I could book through solv but my clinic doesn’t participate. But that being said this place is wonderful. I have been taking the family to the same dr (practice) since 1992! Great how it has grown and kept up the same excellent service.

I usually dread the idea of going into any urgent care and yet I went into Sterling because I was just so uncomfortable and felt so bad. I could not have asked for a more compassionate and kind informative, staff than Sterling Urgent Care. The nurse was lovely and took all my information and in a very short order the doctor came out and answered every single question I had. She took such good care of me. I left feeling so much, better but more importantly so relieved because so many of my questions were answered. I very rarely write reviews but this is one that I absolutely had to do. They are that good.

I did a telehealth visit because I am a mom to 3 little kids and am not able to take them into a clinic with me. The doctor was fantastic. He listened to my concerns and symptoms and didn’t question the validity of it. I figured I had strep throat because I get it often and he gave me a prescription that I can immediately go pick up. He also recommended that I go to a clinic if I don’t start feeling better. He was kind, polite, and helpful. I had a great first experience with Sterling Urgent care tele-health. I also did not have to wait at all!

I woke up with a painful ear infection on a Saturday afternoon; and I live 25 miles from the closest open urgent care. I was so pleased to be able to see a doc without having to drive 50 miles round-trip! Signing up was easy, paperwork very short and sweet, wait time was estimated at 25 min-but I definitely didn't wait that long, the Dr joined the call with perfect video and audio, and he was very friendly! Problem solved in less than an hour...just waiting for my prescription to be filled! I'm SO glad this service exists and will recommend to everyone!

I am most sincerely grateful to Ms. Ashley! I could not find your location and panicked. She took time to get me through to your location in South Idaho Falls, and was most helpful and patient with me. She is an asset to Sterling Urgent Care and to this state and country. What a rare, unique person! She filled my difficult day with light and hope. Amazing experience! May God bless Ms. Ashley , her family, and all the great folks of your organization!!! Michael Glazoff, PhD, PhD, PhD, Idaho National Laboratory, ***. Thank you!!!!!

My husband and my self found ourselves without health insurance January 1, *** for the first time in our life's. I sign the two of us up for the Sterling Urgent Care program. I was very nervous about our insurance situation. Yesterday I visited the care center in Hailey for the first time and could not be more pleased with both the facility and the staff. I am definitely more at ease now having Sterling Urgent Care by my side. The PA who helped me yesterday is an amazing care giver.

I went in twice, both times for pain associated with EDT. Very caring staff, attentive Dr. He gave me all of my options for treatment, and I went with the least invasive. It didn't work so I went in again the next day. The Dr. saw me right away, confirmed that things hadn't improved, gave me more options, treated me AND referred to a specialist to get in ASAP. Best urgent care facility in IF. Highly recommend them!

I am very happy with my experience with Sterling Urgent Care. I was able to make an appointment via my phone app and it made check in super easy. I only waited less than one minute and the care I received was great as well. Care was taken to get my symptoms listed correctly, and the care that I received was awesome too. I would not hesitate to recommend Sterling to my friends and family.

The facility is so much nicer than having to go to the ER. Travis has treated my 13 year old daughter twice and is knowledgable, professional and great with kids. He knows how to alleviate their fears whether it's the flu or needing stitches. I'll continue to use him for my daughter and wouldn't hesitate to go to him if I had an urgent care issue.

They took me right in and took great care of me! I felt like they were friendly and kind and were constantly trying to make my stay the best it could be. I was nervous to go to an urgent care (especially to get stitches) but they were so professional and did a great job! I would definitely recommend them!!

Urgent Care in Idaho

Ripe with farm land, Idaho is a beautiful state known for more than just its potatoes. The problem is that it's also becoming well-known for inherent health problems and a lack of doctors, which has residents seeking out urgent care centers and walk-in clinics.

Healthcare in Idaho

Obesity is a problem in Idaho; 62.3 percent of adult residents are obese or at least overweight. Worse, the problem is appreciably affecting the state's children, so that even kids in the third grade are overweight. As a result, residents suffer from heart disease, high blood pressure, and a greater risk of diabetes. In addition to physical health risks, Idaho has an increasing problem with drug addiction and abuse, as well as mental health problems.

Urgent Care in Idaho

Idaho also has a problem in many of its schools, which have cut physical education. This adds to the problem with childhood obesity. Although the state has excellent healthcare systems, including St. Luke's and Saint Alphonsus, access isn't a guarantee. With a shortage of private physicians, children and their parents rely on the urgent care facilities closest to them instead. These are often easier to reach than the nearest hospital, and many residents can't afford their prohibitive costs anyway.

Walk-In Clinics in Idaho

Because middle America as a whole faces a problem with poverty, hospitals and private care offices aren't options anyway. In addition to urgent care, people with health problems in Idaho appreciate the cost and care they receive at walk-in clinics, which make it possible to receive skilled care without going further into debt.

Urgent Care FAQs

  • How much will an urgent care visit in Idaho cost?

The price charged at an urgent care, whether in Idaho or elsewhere, will be based on the location, and there are no actual standard costs between the clinics. Assuming you are paying with cash, you might come across an urgent clinic that charges you $50 while another situated some mile away charges you $100 for the same services. The standard cost in urgent care where insurance cover is not involved ranges from $100 to $125. This price is generally the standard price of a visit before extra services. There are a couple of additional care services that could make your appointment to an urgent care costly including x-rays and lab tests, medications and injections (such as immunization), casting broken bones, as well as stitches and splints. If you have a viable insurance plan in place, the standard pay will be between $20 – 50 depending on your insurance coverage and whether you are in contact with the provider.

  • Are Idaho urgent care centers open after hours?

Most primary care doctor offices are open during routine work hours, Monday thru Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Conversely, most of the urgent care centers in Idaho are available after hours, on weekends, and many holidays. Typical urgent care hours are 8:00 am to 8:00 pm daily, although location-specific hours may vary.

  • Do urgent care centers in Idaho take appointments?

Historically, urgent care centers were strictly an on-demand, walk-in healthcare service mode. More recently, as consumer behaviors and expectations have evolved, many urgent care clinics have begun offering book ahead visits, allowing consumers to select a same-day or next-day time that works best for their schedule. Use Solv to find a Idaho urgent care center that offers advanced bookings (or appointments) and book online.

  • What is the best urgent care center in Idaho?

While it would be easy to provide a list of urgent care centers in and around Idaho, 'best' is a challenging term to qualify. For some consumers, that could mean the closest location whereas other people may prioritize patient reviews, service costs, availability, or whether or not the provider accepts their insurance. With the list of locations above, use the filters provided to narrow the results to find the best urgent care for your needs.

  • What is Urgent Care?

Urgent care is available to assist patients that are looking for immediate, convenient medical care. In that manner, they are similar to an emergency room. The difference, however, is that ERs are meant to treat major, life-threatening injuries and illnesses while urgent care centers manage life’s minor bruises and bumps. In simple terms, an urgent care is seen as a walk-in health center that focuses in offering non-emergent health care conditions, including the treatment of the typical illnesses and injuries such as fractures and sprains, cuts and burns, scrapes, stings and bites, flu and cold symptoms, nausea and vomiting, abdominal pain, and much more. Most urgent care facilities offer both diagnostic and preventive care such as well visits, immunizations, STD testing and annual physicals. For regular visits and check-ups on these clinics, you should expect to pay between $20 and $100. The good thing is that most urgent care clinics will accept major PPOs and insurance cover, Medicare, as well as self-pay in the form of credit cards or cash. Urgent care clinics are located in most parts of the country in various regions to offset emergency room visits and provide a gap in healthcare services. They take patients during all hours of operations, which offer a significant convenience to most people who have and continue to undergo the need for sudden and immediate medical attention.
