The staff was extremely helpful and took the time to talk and get to know me. Kay was very sweet and polite. Nirmala was very patient in explaining everything to me. Then Luan was also very funny and helpful. I am glad to have found a place that exceeded my expectations.

I came in one day without an appoint and waited two hours as a walk-in before I had to leave without being tested. I made an appointment through Labcorp for the next day, showed up on time, got tested easily and was on my way in 15-20 minutes. Staff is friendly and helpful.

This Urgent Care facility is the best! Their medical staff is friendly, very caring, and truly concerned with your health and well-being. I want to thank Dr. Zandifar for his expertise in stitching me up and for lifting my spirits with his jokes. I really needed that. A special thanks C. Williams, MA and Lewis for the care they took in getting me signed in and making me comfortable during my visit. This is not my first visit and definitely won’t be the last. This team truly demonstrates the meaning of exceptional care. I highly recommend them for your health or urgent care needs. Cassandra Barton

Sparkling Clean

As a mom who works both inside and outside the home it is really tough to get in to see the pediatrician when my kids are sick. It was very easy to go to MedExpress and see the physician assistant when I thought my son had strep throat. They even had the antibiotics there for him which meant no need to go to CVS and that was one less place to have to go with a sick kid. I will go there again.

I came here due to a dental abscess. The staff was very patient and courteous with me. They helped me with my paperwork and the waiting room was tidy and had a beautiful aquarium that gave a nice peaceful atmosphere. The wait time was very short. The nurse was pleasant and made me feel comfortable. Although the doctor was a little quick with my diagnosis, she put me on an antibiotic that had no side effects, which is difficult due to my history of allergic reactions. All in all it was a good visit.

  • Who should get a typhoid vaccine?

Anyone two weeks and older with plans to travel to or live in an area that's at high risk for typhoid, such as South Asia, Latin America and Africa, should receive a typhoid vaccine. If you are planning on traveling from Washington Park out-of-country, a typhoid vaccine will be required for entry. You must be vaccinated by injection at least fourteen days before your departure date, or finish your oral vaccination regimen at least a week before your trip.

  • Are video visits available with travel vaccination specialists in Washington Park?

While a typhoid vaccine cannot be administered over video, your doctor can evaluate and advise you or your child from your home in Washington Park. They can discuss your travel plans, recommend and order necessary vaccinations, and book immunization appointments via telemedicine.

  • How much does a typhoid vaccine cost in Washington Park?

Without insurance, a consultation, service fee and the typhoid vaccine doses will typically range from $85 to $300. With preventative insurance, you will end up paying the copay for a consultation and vaccine administration, ranging from $10 to $40. Costs will vary by clinic - book a consultation at a Washington Park-area clinic to see how much a typhoid vaccine would cost for you.

  • Is a typhoid vaccine covered by my insurance?

As typhoid vaccines are considered elective, it’s not uncommon that insurance will not cover the cost of the vaccine. However, if your plan includes preventative benefits, the vaccine will usually be covered and you may only need to cover the co-pay out-of-pocket.

  • Are video visits with travel vaccination specialists covered by my insurance?

Telemedicine vaccine consultation coverage will vary depending on your circumstances. Typically, if your insurance will not cover an in-person visit, it won’t cover similar appointments via telehealth. Since the typhoid vaccine is considered elective and in-person visits are not usually covered by medical insurance, it is unlikely video visits with travel vaccination specialists will be covered.
