Staff was pleasant and professional. Scheduling was fine and e-paperwork was easy. Our only issue was with check-in upon arrival. Scheduled appt ahead of time, arrived at our appointment time, checked in with front desk and paid co-pay, told we would be called back shortly. Received confirmation of check-in 50 min after appointment time. It’s not an unbearable time to wait but in the moment with a child burning in fever and weak, it felt like an eternity especially seeing later arrivals called back. I do understand some cases are more urgent than others. Staff addressed my concern and called us back within 20 minutes of bringing it to their attention. Front desk receptionist said it was an issue with moving our appointment from one screen to another. We were treated with care and were well on our way within 30 minutes of being called back. Total time 2 hours. Not too bad. Just make sure you receive a text confirmation that you’ve been checked-in.

I checked in online and was greeted when I walked in. Everyone in the office was helpful and kind. I didn’t remember everyone’s name but Jamorea and NP Caroline took their time to listen to me. Great care. 10/10 recommend.

The staff at the front desk were so kind and happy. Everyone I encountered had a great attitude and listened well. I could tell they genuinely cared about helping me! The ladies who took my blood were so nice and comforting, same for the ladies who gave me a shot. I will definitely be going back there and telling others to do the same. I got there at 8:07 this morning and I was out by 9:17! Most urgent cares take hours.

Friendly Staff

Checking myself in through my phone and having to take and submit pictures of my license and insurance was a bit tedious. The wait was long but I was understanding of that, as it was a busy day. And Dr. Morgan is superb, I've used this clinic for many years just because of her. She is worth the wait. I felt heard and she well attended to my needs. The nursing staff and front desk were also extremely nice. I would definitely recommend this location to others. But next visit I will try to plan better for a less busy day.

Scheduling online was easy (and really a good way to go as they were really busy on a Sunday with a bug going around our area). Staff had a good attitude and handled some frustrated customers very well. Received medications and treatment quickly and have been getting better. I would recommend using their services.

I did a walk-in, so the scheduling wasn’t an issue at all. The staff was friendly.  They appeared to work very well together, and knew what they were doing.   They were confident and competent and efficient in their duties. I appreciate the provider for reminding me that I needed to lose weight(ha ha ha), as if I didn’t know that already. Nevertheless, he’s right and I am and have been working on it. Otherwise everyone was nice friendly seem to work as a team show that they were confident and competent in what they were doing. Overall good experience. Good work Team!!!

I normally have a very good experience here and the staff is always very friendly, but unfortunately it just seemed pointless to have to wait over an hour to be told, “I don’t know” when it came to what was wrong with my sick baby. The doctor did no tests and didn’t even notice the rash on my son’s diaper area until I pointed it out. Just felt like time wasted plus they asked us to wait in what they described as the “hottest room” when other rooms were available.

I went for a COVID test and really liked that it was super easy and a drive through. Everyone was very nice.

I needed a negative COVID-19 test for work, and Urgent Care for Children is close, and I had heard their process is quick and easy. They did not disappoint! Took about 40 minutes from arrival to getting results from rapid test, and I never had to leave my vehicle. Thank you for making the process as painless as possible!

The experience was fairly straightforward. I was seen by a doctor via telemedicine. She asked about symptoms and pretty much told me I just need to wait for results of PCR test.

As a walk in, I expected a wait time of hours. Instead it was minutes. I really appreciate the availability of covid testing for parents, too.

We have been here about a handful of times and each time their service is superb. They‘re friendly, explain issues and treatments so everyone (incl. my six-year-old) understands them and the wait time is not long. Our appointment was at 2:10. They texted us to come in from the parking lot at 2:05 and we were seen within about 5 minutes. Today, my little one did not want to get swabbed for testing (mouth and nose). Understandably so cause let‘s face it, who likes for someone to seemingly poke your brain through your nose… Anyway, the workers did not threaten or get frustrated (or at least not that I could tell ☺️). She gave us a moment alone and then came back with help and introduced her as a super helper or something. I can just say „wow!“ I was impressed and grateful I didn‘t have to deal with it by myself. They got the swab. It was a success! Thanks for being helpful, friendly and prompt. I would definitely visit them again.

I’ve always had a phobia of medical places/procedures/people, but had to get tested for covid. It was fast, friendly and professional!! I had no anxiety at all which was great! The girl who came out to do my covid swab was so nice and upbeat that I wasn’t nervous at all. She was so great!!!

My daughter and I both went in for Covid tests and all of the staff was super nice! When we got our video chat with the nurse she was very helpful and answered all of our questions (daughter tested positive) and thoroughly explained things we had concerns about. I would definitely go back and also recommend Urgent Care for Children!

Everyone was most helpful and professional. Wait for Covid testing and to talk with doctor was done in a reasonable amount of time. Every step of the way was explained in detail.

- Verified patient on 8/8

The lady (sorry I don’t remember her name) who came outside to test me, was extremely considerate and explained everything. She told me she hoped I started to feel better and described in detail that the results would take 15 minutes for me to stay on the property so the telamed call would come in. The Dr on the Telamed call was extremely thorough with her questions. Over all a very nice and comforting experience in an unsure and scary time! Thank you!

First time using the center. Went in at appointment time, wait time for test results/doctor seeing us was a little long but the staff was extremely friendly and kind. 10/10 would recommend ❤️

I was soooo nervous getting tested for COVID. I thought it would hurt, based on what I've heard. The nurse was extremely gentle and quick. I couldn't believe it.

I went for a covid test. They made it quick and easy with drive up service and within 15 minutes I received a call from the nurse practitioner.

The NP we spoke with was helpful and had lots of recommendations like going for testing, etc. I'm chosing to keep an eye on my daughter for now since she's been over 12 hours without her fever now without the help of fever reducers, is eating and drinking normal and acting herself at this time. But the NP was receptive and wanted to be sure I knew what I can do based off the symptoms I reported that have been happening over the last two days. She made my daughter laugh too. I'm happy with the call and service.

I came when they were about to shut down to get a COVID test done. They said they closed very soon but the supervisor approved it and the staff was great

- Verified patient on 5/9

Our provider was very thorough and went above and beyond to make sure that I was taken care of. She explained far more than just a test result so that I had the knowledge that I needed to stay well moving forward.

We had a wonderful experience! The wait time was long but that is to be expected during a pandemic. The nurse and doctors were fantastic- so sweet and friendly to our children who were very nervous about the covid tests. I highly recommend Urgent Care for Children 280!

We went in on short notice for a covid test and the staff was very helpful and courteous.

Staff was great. We had COVID test. Nurse came out to the car and we waited about 20 minutes for results and had video call with the doctor. Everyone was phenomenal. Highly recommend them.

Birmingham Lab Tests

Lab tests take samples of your blood, urine, saliva, and other bodily secretions, which are then analyzed in a lab to help doctors diagnose and treat certain illnesses. Lab tests can be used to diagnose an illness, detect changes in an existing condition, and monitor how your body responds to a therapy, among other things. They can also be used to monitor the progression of a disease or a set of diseases.

If your doctor is unable to make a definitive diagnosis of your disease, or if you are having a variety of symptoms that could indicate a variety of disorders, he or she may request a lab test. To see how you're responding to a drug or to check if you're at risk for certain diseases, lab tests may be performed. If your doctor is unable to make a definitive diagnosis of your disease, or if you are having a variety of symptoms that could indicate a variety of disorders, he or she may request a lab test. Some lab tests require no preparation at all, while others may require you to fast for eight to twelve hours before the test in order to avoid erroneous results from certain meals and beverages. Your healthcare provider may advise you to cease smoking, exercising, and taking certain medications and nutritional supplements for many hours or days before your blood test.

Before your lab test, ask your doctor for precise instructions to follow to minimize erroneous results and multiple trips to the lab for additional testing. A lab worker may use a needle to draw blood from your arm or prick your finger to collect a small sample of blood during a blood test. During a urine test, your physician will ask you to go to the restroom and urinate in a sterile cup, then set your sample on a shelf where a lab technician can pick it up and process it. The personnel at the lab testing facility will demonstrate how to do each type of test.
