I schedule the appointment online on the day of the visit. This was a quick and prompt visit to the urgent care. I was in and out of the appointment within 40 mins. Courteous staff that addressed my issue. Nothing above and beyond but it was adequate care.

Easy to make online appointment I was however disappointed with wait time in waiting room and in operatory after we were taken back I was there a total of 2 hours with a sick 5 year old. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Not sure I would visit there again unless wait time was significantly less. They may need more staff due to volume of patients on a Saturday morning.

I artived at 8:40 and although first was told there were already appts so I scheduled for 11:30 Arrived and had to wait to grt an xray because someone else was having a full physical Not sure of the linear reasoning between the two After 90 minutes finally told them I had to go as it was 30 minutes after they had done my xray. I miss the efficiency when Carol Hoban was there. Ultimately I got my answer via a phone call from the LPN but that was really way too long to just find out if my toe was broken I was trying to give The sisters of Mercy the business but mist likely wont do it again anytime soon.

I’ve been fighting congestion for a few days. I was easily able to set up an appointment for after work. The staff was awesome, and got me checked in right away. I was in and out of there, with excellent care and prescriptions already sent to the pharmacy. Definitely recommended!

I went to this office on Tuesday, for an ear infection after 24 to 36 hours. I was not seeing any results from the eardrops that was prescribed. I called to see if I could get a different type of eardrops and antibiotics that was prescribed however, I was informed that I had three days so I was replying in my three days. I was told that I would be charged again for a co-pay because the practitioner that treated me would not return until the following week, which would mean I would be out of the three day grace period I was told it would be sent to a higher chain of command to see if they would treat me with other drops I have yet to hear anything. I will never go back here. I don’t recommend. I was never given release papers to begin with and they want to charge me for another co-pay, which is $60 to begin with. I could see if it was for a narcotics or something different but for an antibiotic and an eardrop is just wrong. Everybody is out to take your money, no matter whether they supply you with treatment that works or not.

BMP Testing in Tryon

A BMP test checks the levels of eight components in your blood and can be used by doctors to determine if you have one or more serious medical problems. BMP blood tests are commonly performed as part of a routine medical exam. If you are seeking emergency medical care or have been diagnosed with and are being treated for a chronic condition, BMP testing may be required.

A BMP test can be used to check the following body functions and processes:

  • Kidney function
  • Blood sugar levels
  • Metabolism
  • Lung function
  • Blood calcium level
  • Blood acid and base balance
  • Fluid and electrolyte balance
  • Organ health and function
  • Cell, blood, and tissue health

Basic Metabolic Panel FAQs

  • What is a BMP blood test?

A BMP blood test examines eight different components in your blood to see if your body is functioning properly. The metabolism, energy levels, chemical balance, and organ function are all examined in this examination. If you have a chronic condition such as high blood pressure, diabetes, or kidney disease, it may be done as part of a routine checkup. During a BMP, your doctor draws a small sample of your blood and sends it to the lab for testing and analysis.

  • What is included in a basic metabolic panel?

A BMP measures the levels of eight substances in your blood. The factors tested include blood urea nitrogen (BUN), blood glucose, calcium, carbon dioxide, chloride, creatinine, potassium, and sodium. If you have abnormally high levels of one or more of these substances, you may have a serious health concern that requires immediate attention.

  • How much do BMP tests cost in Tryon?

The cost of a BMP test in Tryon is determined by a number of factors, including provider rates and whether the test is covered by your health insurance. Contacting the Tryon blood testing location or your health insurance provider to learn more about your benefits is the best way to discover the cost of a BMP.

  • Does insurance cover BMP testing in Tryon?

BMP testing is covered by many health insurance coverage, especially if your doctor believes it is medically necessary. Contact your Tryon provider to see if your health insurance supports BMP testing and to learn more about your coverage and any out-of-pocket expenditures. Some BMP testing companies may be able to check your insurance coverage for you.

  • Where should I get a basic metabolic panel in Tryon?

In Tryon, a BMP can be performed at your doctor's office, a lab, or a hospital. Many doctors will refer you to a reputable BMP provider who will do the test and report the results to your physician. You can also use Solv to identify reputable BMP providers in your area who have a high rating.

  • How long does it take to get BMP blood test results?

Depending on lab personnel and production, the results of a BMP blood test can take anywhere from a few hours to 24 hours to arrive. Some BMP providers in Tryon may contact your doctor with the findings, which could take a few days or weeks. The BMP test provider can usually provide you a more accurate time estimate for receiving your results.

  • What is the normal range for a basic metabolic panel?

All laboratories and BMP providers have distinct “normal” value ranges when it comes to BMPs. The BMP results shown below are usually considered normal:

    • BUN: 6 to 20 mg/dL
    • Blood glucose: 64 to 100 mg/dL
    • Calcium: 8.5 to 10.2 mg/dL
    • Carbon dioxide: 23 to 29 mmol/L
    • Chloride: 96 to 106 mmol/L
    • Creatinine: 0.8 to 1.2 mg/dL
    • Potassium: 3.7 to 5.2 mEq/L
    • Sodium: 136 to 144 mEq/L
  • Do I need to see a doctor before getting a BMP test in Tryon?

Many providers in Tryon require a doctor's referral to do a BMP test. The main benefit of seeing a doctor first is that you'll be able to assess whether or not this test is necessary based on your symptoms and medical history. A BMP test is commonly performed prior to surgery, in an emergency, or when your doctor needs to precisely diagnose a problem.

  • How can I book a BMP test in Tryon through Solv?

  • Can I do at home BMP testing in Tryon?

Some BMP tests can be purchased online, but the majority of them must be taken to a lab or hospital to be given by a medical practitioner. BMP test samples are typically tested and assessed in medical laboratories. Individual components of a BMP test, such as the blood glucose test, may, nevertheless, be able to be measured at home. For additional information about at-home BMP testing, contact your healthcare professional.
