My throat was closing up fast and that on Veterans Day when my primary care was closed. These folks truly treated me with an urgency that is sadly uncommon. I had the medicine I needed by 11:00 a.m. They take LA Care, and if you use La Care you know how hard it can be to navigate, so I'm glad these people are on my radar now. I highly recommend them.

First time here and everyone was super friendly and the facility is really clean. I decided to come here due to symptoms of a sinus infection. I love how easy it was to make an appt, especially same day! I also saw a sign that they take walk ins. Overall great experience!

Friendly Staff

My last review was mistakenly submitted to AME Medical Group. In fact it was for a different Urgent Care in Cerritos on Bloomfield Ave. which is run by some Chinese people. I apologize for making a wrong submission. Indeed, my experience with AME Medical Group, Norwalk went very well. I am very pleased to meet Dr. Mishal, her humble and polite attitude, her professional knowledge and her dealing with the patients. I am also very pleased to meet the staff who was very professional and polite. Overall my experience with AME Medical Group turned out very good.

Arrived early for my scheduled appointment and I was checked in and taken care of right away. I would definitely recommend this facility for Covid testing.

Recent Lab Tests Reviews (20)

My ONLY complaint- which CAN be managed is that there should be, at the facility and at the end of filling out the online appointment (especially where it involves Covid testing) - that you can be waiting up to an hour (as I did) for a Covid PCR test - and you would see a nurse first, then a dr, then finally a nurse so as to understand the wait (we as patients/clients could then better manage our own appointments without feeling anxious or upset at staff) - and if it’s a Rapid Covid test - the time is quicker (maybe 30 minutes) . So since I brought my teen with me and naively thought I would be in and out in 15 min tops, he killed the car battery while listening to the radio- and I had to wait another 30 min for AAA service - etc. (I know- not the fault of the clinic- actually the staff was nice enough to let my kid use the bathroom while waiting for me.

Everyone was extremely helpful as I needed help with my appointment. Also the nurse who administered the test was happy and smiling. Very good experience for an Urgent Care visit. Thank You

- Verified patient on 12/24

Friendly staff, busy urgent care. I made an appointment but had to wait about 25 minutes. No issues and quick 15 minute results for the rapid covid test.

The 3 on the Quality of Care is because I was initially sent a text with incorrect results of my COVID-19 test. I know human error occurs, but it was very upsetting and does not install confidence in the process.

Went for a rapid Covid test. Office was clean and staff was very helpful. Was in and out w my results in 30 mins!

- Verified patient on 6/21

I think you should have a way for the patient to confirm their ID (name) On the swab that is taken to another room for the rapid testing.

I am a health care worker and needed to get a Covid test. They were the fastest but wish I could have them as my Dr. very efficient, friendly, clean.

- Verified patient on 9/27

This is my second time to this office for rapid covid testing. They are always fast, 20 mins in waiting area maximum. The first time I did a rapid covid test it was in Glendale and I waited for 5 hours. Everyone in this office is kind, fast and understanding. Thank you !!

They were busy at the time I was in for a rapid covid test. In fact I was tested there monday as well . Both times they handled the busy amount of patients with good manners and they were professional both times. Good job, and thank you again.

It was altogether efficiently done. The young man who tested me was professional, efficient and very fast. My only regret: Didn’t get his name ☺️

I needed a rapid response COVID test. I only waited 10 minutes, got my results in 20 minutes. The staff was friendly, there was parking and it made a scary experience much more pleasant.

- Verified patient on 7/30

Wait time of 30 minutes past my appointment time for a rapid COVID test, which itself took seconds with results in less than 10 minutes. Wait time way too long. Make sure you can actually see people at their appointment time.

- Verified patient on 8/27

I went for the rapid covid test. It was a little confusing but the staff quickly straightened us all out. The test was done and the results texted to me in 20 minutes. A great experience. I will be going back and using them for the regular covid test.

- Verified patient on 11/6

For rapid Covid testing this was a very hassle free experience easy to schedule and reschedule appointments if needed, no wait time staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. I’ve use this urgent care before with an injury and their facilities and what they were able to provide for patients in terms of radiology and lab services really helps limit the use of emergency rooms. As a healthcare provider I appreciate that

Quick and easy rapid test. I was surprised that I wasn’t asked ANY questions for a data research. No questions. No temp. check. But very easy

- Verified patient on 4/1

The nurse who gave me the rapid test was so kind and accommodating! I wanted to stay outside and she completely worked with me! Thank you!

- Verified patient on 9/15

I am still waiting on abnormally long time for a simple Covid test and staff were not clear on wait times. Aside from that everything was great but the wait time clouded the experience

Pasadena Lab Tests

Lab tests take samples of your blood, urine, saliva, and other bodily secretions, which are then analyzed in a lab to help doctors diagnose and treat certain illnesses. Lab tests can be used to diagnose an illness, detect changes in an existing condition, and monitor how your body responds to a therapy, among other things. They can also be used to monitor the progression of a disease or a set of diseases.

If your doctor is unable to make a definitive diagnosis of your disease, or if you are having a variety of symptoms that could indicate a variety of disorders, he or she may request a lab test. To see how you're responding to a drug or to check if you're at risk for certain diseases, lab tests may be performed.

Some lab tests require no preparation at all, while others may require you to fast for eight to twelve hours before the test in order to avoid erroneous results from certain meals and beverages. Your healthcare provider may advise you to cease smoking, exercising, and taking certain medications and nutritional supplements for many hours or days before your blood test.

Before your lab test, ask your doctor for precise instructions to follow to minimize erroneous results and multiple trips to the lab for additional testing. A lab worker may use a needle to draw blood from your arm or prick your finger to collect a small sample of blood during a blood test. During a urine test, your physician will ask you to go to the restroom and urinate in a sterile cup, then set your sample on a shelf where a lab technician can pick it up and process it. The personnel at the lab testing facility will demonstrate how to do each type of test.
