Injured my foot several days ago and woke up with it in dire pain today. Haven’t made any medical decisions since relocating back to Dalton so asked my daughter where she went since she had been going there previously.  Was very pleased with the attention that I received and their warm reception.  Will recommend them for certain!

Not feeling well today, had been exposed to the flu and Covid so I made an appointment this morning to get tested. Ended up having the flu.  Carolyn Meyer was by far the best NP I have ever had. She was professional, thorough, knowledgeable and made sure she prescribed me with any and everything I would need to have a smooth recovery. I would give her a million stars if possible. We need more providers like her!!

Trauma Centers are hard to manage. A person of 60 having chest pain will get into the back room much faster than a flu victim or minor injury. Nonetheless, when you are in pain, the wait can seem forever, and as we wait, we get anxious and angry. I have been here several times. Yesterday, when I arrived the place was packed. My injury was bad enough to move me to the head of the line. Other times, I had to wait. Perspective is everthing! My doctor, Sanchez, as well as the staff were wonderful. Peace and all good things, in this life and the next.

About Celiac (Gluten) Disease Testing Panel

The Celiac Disease Testing Panel is a set of diagnostic tests used to identify Celiac disease, an autoimmune disorder triggered by the ingestion of gluten. This panel helps healthcare providers assess the presence of specific antibodies associated with Celiac disease and aids in confirming the diagnosis.

Who Should Get Tested

If you reside in La Fayette, Georgia, and have symptoms suggestive of Celiac disease, such as chronic gastrointestinal issues, unexplained weight loss, fatigue, or skin rashes, Celiac Disease Testing Panel is recommended. Additionally, individuals with a family history of Celiac disease or other autoimmune disorders may benefit from this testing to rule out or confirm the condition.

Tests Included in Celiac Disease Testing Panel

The Celiac Disease Testing Panel typically includes the following tests:

  1. Tissue Transglutaminase Antibody (tTG-IgA): Measures the presence of antibodies produced in response to gluten ingestion.
  2. Endomysial Antibody (EMA-IgA): Detects antibodies directed against the body's own tissues affected by gluten ingestion.
  3. Total Serum IgA: Measures the overall level of immunoglobulin A (IgA) in the blood, which helps ensure accurate antibody test results.

Interpreting the Results

If the Celiac Disease Testing Panel shows elevated levels of tTG-IgA and EMA-IgA antibodies and normal total serum IgA, it indicates a high likelihood of Celiac disease. A positive result may lead to further evaluation, including an endoscopic biopsy of the small intestine to confirm the diagnosis.

Following the Test

If the Celiac Disease Testing Panel confirms Celiac disease, your healthcare provider will discuss dietary modifications to eliminate gluten from your diet. Gluten-free diets are essential for managing Celiac disease and preventing complications related to gluten consumption.

Early detection and proper management of Celiac disease through the Celiac Disease Testing Panel can lead to improved quality of life and prevent long-term health issues associated with gluten ingestion.
