Woke up yesterday feeling really sick I came in today as a walk-in and the wait was long but I expected that being a walk-in! Luckily I got back there and they immediately tested me for strep throat but the lady was so nice she heard that I have a 3month old at home and she said she would go ahead and test me for flu and Covid for the sake of my babygirl! The front desk lady today was also super nice!! Thank you!

Beyond having to wait 4 hours and dealing with other angry patients for such a long wait time our visit was a not like 10 mins. We could have taken care of this in the lobby. I still would recommend because what’s the alternative “Tennova”?? And that’s a big NO!!!!!

walked in and was able to be taken back within 30 minutes. Had a longer wait due to the high number of patients but was greeted and treated professionally and kindly with care by the staff. Dr Chris was very helpful. I'm very appreciative. I do believe the lobby area smelled slightly of mold when I walked in. (I'm very sensitive to it), and I did look up to see the ceiling vents have black mold. So that'd be my only suggestion is to remedy it to keep all staff and patients healthy.

Both kids had been feeling bad since the previous day so decided to take them both in. The woman at the front desk was so helpful and super friendly. We were taken back quickly & both were given strep, flu, rsv, & COVID tests. The longest we had to wait was for the results for the tests which was 15 minutes. The NP was knowledgeable, courteous, and very friendly. He answered all my questions & quickly called in their prescriptions. Would definitely recommend.

About Celiac (Gluten) Disease Testing Panel

The Celiac Disease Testing Panel is a set of diagnostic tests used to identify Celiac disease, an autoimmune disorder triggered by the ingestion of gluten. This panel helps healthcare providers assess the presence of specific antibodies associated with Celiac disease and aids in confirming the diagnosis.

Who Should Get Tested

If you reside in LaFayette, Kentucky, and have symptoms suggestive of Celiac disease, such as chronic gastrointestinal issues, unexplained weight loss, fatigue, or skin rashes, Celiac Disease Testing Panel is recommended. Additionally, individuals with a family history of Celiac disease or other autoimmune disorders may benefit from this testing to rule out or confirm the condition.

Tests Included in Celiac Disease Testing Panel

The Celiac Disease Testing Panel typically includes the following tests:

  1. Tissue Transglutaminase Antibody (tTG-IgA): Measures the presence of antibodies produced in response to gluten ingestion.
  2. Endomysial Antibody (EMA-IgA): Detects antibodies directed against the body's own tissues affected by gluten ingestion.
  3. Total Serum IgA: Measures the overall level of immunoglobulin A (IgA) in the blood, which helps ensure accurate antibody test results.

Interpreting the Results

If the Celiac Disease Testing Panel shows elevated levels of tTG-IgA and EMA-IgA antibodies and normal total serum IgA, it indicates a high likelihood of Celiac disease. A positive result may lead to further evaluation, including an endoscopic biopsy of the small intestine to confirm the diagnosis.

Following the Test

If the Celiac Disease Testing Panel confirms Celiac disease, your healthcare provider will discuss dietary modifications to eliminate gluten from your diet. Gluten-free diets are essential for managing Celiac disease and preventing complications related to gluten consumption.

Early detection and proper management of Celiac disease through the Celiac Disease Testing Panel can lead to improved quality of life and prevent long-term health issues associated with gluten ingestion.
