Urgent care
Lab testing
My main problem was I told them all the medication that I was on & they gave me prescription for a medication that I shouldn't take with my medicines. So it seems like doctor didn't read my chart & wasnt paying attention to what I could actually take. But CVS said that they are supposed to verify my medications & that if there's a problem with the medication then CVS is supposed to catch it. Well they never caught it either. The COVID medicine that I was supposed to get wasn't ready so I went back the next day & the pharmacist told me that I was supposed to get the COVID medicine on the same day that it was prescribed because I was supposed to take it the same day. But it turns out that the doctor prescribed a COVID medicine that cost $1000 & the pharmacist said that the doctor prescribed the wrong Covid medication. She was supposed to prescribe a different COVID medicine. So if you go to Immediate Care on Hickory Lane by Walmart then you need to make sure that they do their job.

About Ferritin Testing

Ferritin Testing is a diagnostic test that measures the level of ferritin, a protein that stores iron, in the blood. Ferritin levels reflect the body's iron stores and play a crucial role in assessing iron deficiency and iron overload conditions.

Who Should Get Tested

Residents of St. Paul, Indiana, with suspected iron disorders, such as iron deficiency anemia or hemochromatosis, may benefit from Ferritin Testing. Additionally, individuals with symptoms like fatigue, weakness, and unexplained joint pain may require testing.

Test Methods for Ferritin

Ferritin Testing is performed using a blood sample. It is often part of a panel that includes other iron tests, such as serum iron, transferrin, and total iron-binding capacity (TIBC).

Interpreting the Results

The interpretation of Ferritin Testing results involves analyzing the level of ferritin in the blood. Abnormalities in ferritin levels, along with other iron test results, can indicate iron deficiency or iron overload.

Importance of Ferritin Testing

Ferritin Testing is important for:

  • Assessing iron stores in the body
  • Diagnosing iron deficiency anemia and iron overload conditions
  • Monitoring the response to iron supplementation or treatment

Following the Test

After Ferritin Testing, healthcare providers discuss the results with individuals and recommend appropriate interventions based on the test findings. Treatment options may include iron supplementation, dietary changes, and further evaluation for underlying conditions affecting iron status.
