The nurse was friendly but not at all gentle in swabbing my nose for the pcr test. I let her know how much she was hurting me and I know it could have been done to the same effect a lot more gently. She also told me it would take 2-3 days to get pcr results. I was led to believe otherwise from your web site and the doctor who was very friendly came in after and said we should have it probably 24 hours.

I accidentally sliced off the side of finger and they helped staunch the bleeding and reassured me that no further care was needed. Much better then going to the emergency room. Great and friendly care.

The staff was awesome - both the technician/nurse and the doctor!! They really blew me away by how thorough, caring, and knowledgeable they were!! I’ve already raved about them to family. I came in for a COVID test, had no wait, and was able to discuss some other health issues with the doctor. Really outastanding care!! 👏👏👏

Testing was seamless. The tester came out exactly when they said it would happen, did the Tess and was completely professional. Good experience.

I walked in and the wait time was still reasonable. I needed a Covid test before seeing another Dr for a routine appointment. The Fast Track staff were warm & efficient in providing the test I needed. Glad we have Fast Track! Recommended!

Went in for a COVID test and wait was minimal. Staff was friendly.

No problem after a little technical difficulty. Everyone was helpful and friendly.... being tested tomorrow at 2pm....

- Verified patient on 3/5

Staff was very sensitive to our need for a Covid test. Following the death of our mother, we needed a rapid test to go into her assisted living facility to retrieve her belongings. Staff seemed genuinely compassionate and we so appreciated it!

- Verified patient on 1/14

Paperwork was easy. Triage was thorough. MD assessment was right on. Scheduled my son for COVID testing today!

- Verified patient on 7/8

Please give me my Covid test fast. I gave you a good review.

- Verified patient on 6/12

Dr. D was wonderful with my daughter. The receptionist was the epitome of grace under fire— it’s clearly a busy time with COVID tests, etc, and she kept us apprised of our place in the queue at all times. The nurse who took her vitals was also kind and efficient. We will definitely use Fast Track again for weekend / evening urgent care needs

- Verified patient on 8/8

We had to wait a long time (around 45 min after our appt time), but only because there was only one woman doing the Covid tests by herself. It was so obvious how hard she was working. She was running around hustling in the rain with people trying to wave IDs in her face and she was still the absolute nicest person ever. I wish we had gotten her name. She was working at the New Hampshire Ave location in Silver Spring, MD on Wed 12/29/21 in the evening (we were there approx 5:45pm-6:45pm). She deserves a raise and so much more!!!

- Verified patient on 12/31

The woman who administers the test is very kind, compassionate & understanding

The physician did a thorough work up For my chief complaint with explanations at each step.Additional test ordered appropriately and conducted efficiently. All staff was helpful, friendly, and informative.

The front desk check in person was not particularly friendly. This not my first interaction with her, Celeste. She gathers the necessary information and is rather robotic about it. Not incredibly welcoming. (I’ve been to PM on several occasions for COVID testing since out Pediatrician’s office does not test at all for COVID.) The nurse, Roy, who worked with us at this most recent visit on 9/18/21) walked right in the room, apologized for our wait, but barely made eye contact with myself or my child and then had his back to us while he asked all of the intake questions. He was not warm or attempting to be reassuring to my 7 year old who was clearly nervous to be seen/examined. The doctor we saw was fine and I have no specific objections or concerns. I have been to PM before and really enjoyed the providers (Dr. Mordechai-forgive me because I forget his last name and nurse Amanda. They have been exceptional!) I fully realize that the staff I BUSY given this pandemic but I do have better expectations for an improved beside manner and interactions with families. I, myself, am a pediatric provider so I know what it feels like to be exhausted and still have to work, but you still owe a level of kindness, compassion and warmth in your exchanges with patients and families…especially children.

- Verified patient on 9/19

Great - I actually did not need a Tele visit though I was just trying to schedule a Covid test. But it was very simple to use the Tele visit.

- Verified patient on 4/17

I went in for a test. The staff member that took my test was pleasant, friendly, and knowledgeable. The wait time was short. The receptionist was also nice. Check in process was convenient and easy to use.

- Verified patient on 10/9

Great technician performing COVID nasal swab tests. A lot less painful than anticipated!

- Verified patient on 2/20

Had video appt to see if covid test indicated. Appointment began 10 or so min late on their end. Staff asked me the same questions I had already filled out on on-line paperwork the day before—unnecessary from my point of view. Doc was involved only for a few min which was fine for this type of issue. Both staff and doc were pleasant enough.

- Verified patient on 2/10

Had a virtual visit prior to my COVID-19 PCR test (later today) - everyone was friendly and helpful, & the quality of the call was excellent. Barely any wait time, too - excellent service.

- Verified patient on 11/11

Came for Covid test. Wonderful reception and nursing and wonderful Dr.

- Verified patient on 4/1

Great experience, but went to the facility for my video chat at noon, but was told to come back at 4:00 for the test.

Kensington Lab Tests

Lab tests take samples of your blood, urine, saliva, and other bodily secretions, which are then analyzed in a lab to help doctors diagnose and treat certain illnesses. Lab tests can be used to diagnose an illness, detect changes in an existing condition, and monitor how your body responds to a therapy, among other things. They can also be used to monitor the progression of a disease or a set of diseases.

If your doctor is unable to make a definitive diagnosis of your disease, or if you are having a variety of symptoms that could indicate a variety of disorders, he or she may request a lab test. To see how you're responding to a drug or to check if you're at risk for certain diseases, lab tests may be performed.

Some lab tests require no preparation at all, while others may require you to fast for eight to twelve hours before the test in order to avoid erroneous results from certain meals and beverages. Your healthcare provider may advise you to cease smoking, exercising, and taking certain medications and nutritional supplements for many hours or days before your blood test.

Before your lab test, ask your doctor for precise instructions to follow to minimize erroneous results and multiple trips to the lab for additional testing. A lab worker may use a needle to draw blood from your arm or prick your finger to collect a small sample of blood during a blood test. During a urine test, your physician will ask you to go to the restroom and urinate in a sterile cup, then set your sample on a shelf where a lab technician can pick it up and process it. The personnel at the lab testing facility will demonstrate how to do each type of test.
