My worse nightmare of needing an urgent care visit on a Saturday at 6pm. Surprisingly I found Carbon Health Urgent Care with several appointments available. The checkin as a first visit was so easy and I was seen IMMEDIATELY. The physician was attentive, thorough and so friendly. About Hepatitis test

Who should get tested for hepatitis?

According to the CDC, anyone who has been exposed to blood or body fluids of an infected person should get tested for hepatitis. This includes people who have shared needles or other drug injection equipment, had sexual contact with an infected person, or were born to a mother with hepatitis. Additionally, people with certain medical conditions, such as chronic liver disease or HIV, should also get tested.

Importance of getting tested

Getting tested for hepatitis is crucial as it can lead to serious health problems if left untreated, including liver damage, cirrhosis, and even liver cancer. Early detection allows for prompt treatment, which can prevent these complications and improve health outcomes. Moreover, knowing your hepatitis status can help prevent the spread of the disease to others.
