My 3 year old son was irritable because he did not feel good. The nurse was EXTREMELY rude. Seemed as if she was annoyed by my son who cannot help he does not feel good. Yes it is hard with a toddler but to hand me the 02 monitor because she gives up on getting it, I should have been paid to be the nurse at that point. The physician was very nice and helpful. I won’t be back due to the rudeness of the nurse.

About Hepatitis test

Who should get tested for hepatitis?

According to the CDC, anyone who has been exposed to blood or body fluids of an infected person, has had unprotected sex with an infected person, or has shared needles or other drug paraphernalia should get tested for hepatitis. Additionally, those who have lived in or traveled to certain countries with high rates of hepatitis, or have been born to a mother with hepatitis, should also be tested. In Norcross, GA, it is recommended that anyone falling into these categories, or who has symptoms of hepatitis, seek testing.

Importance of getting tested

Getting tested for hepatitis is crucial for early detection and treatment. Hepatitis can lead to serious health issues, including liver disease and liver cancer. According to the CDC, many people with hepatitis do not know they have it until they start experiencing symptoms, which can take years to appear. Therefore, testing is the only way to know for sure if you have hepatitis.

Hepatitis testing options in Norcross, GA:

Urgent care and walk-in clinics

Both of these clinics have high ratings and offer quick, efficient service. Appointments can be booked through Solv’s website and mobile app.

Primary care providers

Primary care providers can also test for hepatitis. Regular check-ups with a primary care provider can include routine screenings for hepatitis, especially for those at high risk.

Free STD testing and community health centers

For those without insurance or with limited income, free STD testing and community health centers can provide necessary testing services. It is important to check with local health departments for available resources.

At-home testing

At-home testing kits for hepatitis are available and can offer a convenient and private option for those who prefer to test at home. These kits can be ordered online and mailed directly to your home.

Prevalence of hepatitis in Norcross

While specific data for Norcross is not readily available, Georgia has seen an increase in hepatitis cases in recent years, according to the CDC. This trend mirrors the national increase in hepatitis cases, which has been attributed to the ongoing opioid crisis and increased rates of unprotected sex.

Risk factors related to hepatitis in Norcross

Risk factors for hepatitis in Norcross include unprotected sex, drug use, and exposure to infected blood or body fluids. Additionally, those who have traveled to or are from countries with high rates of hepatitis are at increased risk.

Other STDs in Norcross

In addition to hepatitis, other STDs such as gonorrhea, chlamydia, HIV, and syphilis are also prevalent in Norcross and the surrounding areas. As with hepatitis, testing is crucial for early detection and treatment of these STDs.
