My 3 year old son was irritable because he did not feel good. The nurse was EXTREMELY rude. Seemed as if she was annoyed by my son who cannot help he does not feel good. Yes it is hard with a toddler but to hand me the 02 monitor because she gives up on getting it, I should have been paid to be the nurse at that point. The physician was very nice and helpful. I won’t be back due to the rudeness of the nurse.

About Hepatitis test

Who should get tested for hepatitis?

Hepatitis, a viral infection that inflames the liver, is a serious health concern. According to the CDC, anyone who has been exposed to the virus, individuals with multiple sexual partners, people who inject drugs, men who have sex with men, and those with HIV should get tested for hepatitis. Additionally, healthcare and public safety workers exposed to blood on the job, hemodialysis patients, and individuals born to mothers with hepatitis should also consider testing.

Importance of getting tested

Getting tested for hepatitis is crucial because it can lead to serious health complications if left untreated, including cirrhosis, liver cancer, and liver failure. Early detection can help prevent these complications and ensure proper treatment. Moreover, individuals who are aware of their hepatitis status can take precautions to prevent spreading the virus to others.

Prevalence of hepatitis in Snellville

While specific data for Snellville is not readily available, Gwinnett County, where Snellville is located, has seen a steady number of hepatitis cases in recent years. This is consistent with trends seen in nearby counties like Lee County and Cleveland County. However, it's important to note that these numbers may not reflect the true prevalence of hepatitis as many cases go unreported due to lack of symptoms.

Risk factors related to hepatitis in Snellville

Risk factors for hepatitis in Snellville are similar to those in other parts of the country. These include unprotected sex, sharing needles, and exposure to infected blood. Other factors such as population density, access to healthcare, and public awareness about the disease can also influence the prevalence of hepatitis.

Other STDs in Snellville

In addition to hepatitis, other STDs such as gonorrhea, chlamydia, HIV, and syphilis are also present in Snellville. The rates of these STDs can vary, but they are generally in line with national averages. Regular testing is recommended for sexually active individuals to ensure early detection and treatment.
