The front staff and medical assistant were very nice. They always have a short wait time which is a plus. However the physician I had was clearly in a rush and not really interested in listening to me concerns. She also called in my prescription under the wrong name and it took over an hour to sort it out at the pharmacy.

About Hepatitis test

Who should get tested for hepatitis?

According to the Mayo Clinic, individuals who are at an elevated risk for hepatitis should consider getting tested. This includes those who have been in close contact with someone diagnosed with hepatitis, individuals who have used injectable drugs, those who have had multiple sexual partners, and people who have received blood transfusions or organ transplants before 1992. Individuals born between 1945 and 1965, often referred to as "baby boomers," should also be tested as they are five times more likely to have hepatitis C.

Importance of getting tested

Getting tested for hepatitis is crucial as it is often asymptomatic in its early stages, according to the CDC. Early detection can prevent the spread of the virus and allow for prompt treatment, reducing the risk of serious liver damage. Furthermore, knowing your hepatitis status can encourage safer practices, reducing the risk of transmission to others.
