Urgent care

The nurse was friendly but not at all gentle in swabbing my nose for the pcr test. I let her know how much she was hurting me and I know it could have been done to the same effect a lot more gently. She also told me it would take 2-3 days to get pcr results. I was led to believe otherwise from your web site and the doctor who was very friendly came in after and said we should have it probably 24 hours.

The only thing I did not care for was the receptionist. She was a little snobbish and unwelcoming. However, everything else was very nice.

Was able to an appointment within a few hours of when I first looked.  Had to wait 40 minutes after the appt time to spend 5 minutes with the doctor though.  Still, I got what I needed so that was a win.

About Hepatitis test

Who should get tested for hepatitis?

Anyone who is at risk of hepatitis should get tested. This includes individuals who have been in contact with someone who has hepatitis, those who have shared needles or other drug paraphernalia, men who have sex with men, and individuals who have had multiple sexual partners. Additionally, anyone who has traveled to or lived in countries where hepatitis is common should also get tested. According to the CDC, people born between 1945 and 1965, commonly referred to as baby boomers, are five times more likely to have hepatitis C and should be tested as well.

Importance of getting tested

Getting tested for hepatitis is crucial as it can lead to severe health complications if left untreated. Early detection can prevent the disease from progressing to liver cirrhosis or liver cancer. It also helps to prevent the spread of the disease to others. According to the CDC, many people with hepatitis do not know they are infected, making regular testing even more important for those at risk.
