The only thing I did not care for was the receptionist. She was a little snobbish and unwelcoming. However, everything else was very nice.

The nurse was friendly but not at all gentle in swabbing my nose for the pcr test. I let her know how much she was hurting me and I know it could have been done to the same effect a lot more gently. She also told me it would take 2-3 days to get pcr results. I was led to believe otherwise from your web site and the doctor who was very friendly came in after and said we should have it probably 24 hours.

About Hepatitis test

Who should get tested for hepatitis?

Hepatitis, a viral infection that inflames the liver, can affect anyone. However, certain groups are at a higher risk and should consider getting tested. These include individuals who have been in close contact with a person diagnosed with hepatitis, those who have shared needles or other drug paraphernalia, men who have sex with men, and people who have had multiple sexual partners. Additionally, those who have traveled to or lived in countries with high rates of hepatitis, such as parts of Asia and Africa, should also consider testing.

Importance of getting tested

Getting tested for hepatitis is crucial as it can lead to serious health complications if left untreated. According to the CDC, chronic hepatitis can cause cirrhosis, liver cancer, and liver failure, which can be fatal. Early detection through testing allows for prompt treatment and can prevent these complications. It also helps prevent the spread of the virus, as individuals who know they are infected can take steps to protect others.
