I had not been prescribed the antibiotics I needed in two visits to Summit and, as a result, was suffering through day six, repeat six! of a horrible upper respiratory tract infection that had me bedridden and getting worse. You gave me a rx for amox and now 24 hrs later I am vastly improved up and about. Thank you! It is not a coincidence- it is not that a virus ran its course - I was getting worse not better until you've me the rx.

Staff is great, not long waiting period at all. But, the physician assistant is a terrible listener and has no idea of what she's doing. Maybe she was overwhelmed. We all have bad days but, she's suspect.

I was visiting with family from another state , woke up not feeling well with a new baby coming home from the hospital. Definitely needed to be seen to make sure I wasn’t contagious.  Googled urgent care facilities near me, walked in , filled out paperwork and was taken back immediately.  Staff weee extremely courteous and professional.  I was in and out before I knew it. The longest part was filling out the paperwork .  I would definitely recommend this provider!

About Hepatitis test

Who should get tested for hepatitis?

According to the CDC, anyone who has been exposed to the virus through blood, semen, or other bodily fluids should get tested for hepatitis. This includes people who have shared needles, had unprotected sex, or been in close contact with someone who has the virus. Additionally, people born between 1945 and 1965, often referred to as baby boomers, are five times more likely to have hepatitis C and should also be tested.

Importance of getting tested

Getting tested for hepatitis is crucial because it can lead to serious health problems if left untreated, including liver damage, liver cancer, and even death. Early detection can lead to treatments that can cure the disease or help manage its symptoms.

Hepatitis testing options in Florham Park, NJ:

Urgent care and walk-in clinics

Urgent care centers like Levelup Md Urgent Care in nearby Bloomfield offer hepatitis testing. These centers are a good option for same-day and next-day appointments, which can be booked through Solv’s website and mobile app.

Primary care providers

Primary care providers are another option for hepatitis testing. These healthcare professionals can provide testing during regular check-ups or at the patient's request.

Free STD testing and community health centers

Community health centers often offer free or low-cost hepatitis testing. These centers are a valuable resource for those without insurance or those with limited financial means.

At-home testing

At-home testing kits are also available for those who prefer to test in the privacy of their own home. These kits can be purchased online or at a local pharmacy.

Prevalence of hepatitis in Florham Park

While specific data for Florham Park is not readily available, according to the CDC, Essex County, where Florham Park is located, has seen a steady increase in hepatitis cases over the past few years. This trend is consistent with national data, which shows an increase in hepatitis cases across the country.

Risk factors related to hepatitis in Florham Park

Risk factors for hepatitis in Florham Park are similar to those in other parts of the country. These include sharing needles, having unprotected sex, and being born between 1945 and 1965. Other factors that could contribute to the prevalence of hepatitis in the area include socioeconomic status and access to healthcare.

Other STDs in Florham Park

In addition to hepatitis, other STDs such as gonorrhea, chlamydia, HIV, and syphilis are also prevalent in Florham Park. Like hepatitis, these diseases can be tested for at local urgent care centers, primary care providers, community health centers, and at home with the use of a testing kit.
