Very pleased with the overall experience here. Receptionist was very pleasant as well as the support staff we encountered. Saw Dr. Mary Wolter who was very personable and easy to talk to. She performed a thorough exam and answered any questions or concerns we had. Never felt rushed. Office and patient rooms were immaculate.

I have been to this facility a few times when I have had to take my child in times when her Pediatrician was away. They have taken care of her and even given me a referral so that I may take her to a specialist to further evaluate her. It's not very far from my home at all. I'm glad they are also available after my child gets out of school, since her pediatrican's last appt. is at 3:30, I have time to go to Metro-UrgiCare and feel reassured.

About Hepatitis test

Who should get tested for hepatitis?

Hepatitis is a disease that affects the liver and can be transmitted through various means such as blood, sexual contact, or from mother to child during childbirth. According to the CDC, individuals who should consider getting tested for hepatitis include those who have been exposed to the virus, people who have had sexual contact with an infected person, individuals who have used intravenous drugs, and those who have traveled to areas with high rates of hepatitis. Additionally, healthcare workers and individuals with chronic liver disease should also consider getting tested, as they are at a higher risk of contracting the disease.

Importance of getting tested

Getting tested for hepatitis is crucial for several reasons. Firstly, early detection can lead to better treatment outcomes and can prevent serious complications such as liver cirrhosis or liver cancer. Secondly, knowing your hepatitis status can help prevent the spread of the disease to others. According to the CDC, many people with hepatitis are unaware they have the disease, which can lead to unintentional transmission.
