I have been to this facility a few times when I have had to take my child in times when her Pediatrician was away. They have taken care of her and even given me a referral so that I may take her to a specialist to further evaluate her. It's not very far from my home at all. I'm glad they are also available after my child gets out of school, since her pediatrican's last appt. is at 3:30, I have time to go to Metro-UrgiCare and feel reassured.

About Hepatitis test

Who should get tested for hepatitis?

According to the CDC, anyone who has been exposed to the hepatitis virus should get tested. This includes individuals who have had unprotected sex, shared needles, or have been in close contact with a person known to have hepatitis. Additionally, those who were born between 1945 and 1965, or those who have traveled to or are from regions with high rates of hepatitis, such as Asia and Africa, should also consider getting tested.

Importance of getting tested

Getting tested for hepatitis is crucial because it allows for early detection and treatment, which can prevent serious health complications like liver disease and cancer. It also helps prevent the spread of the virus to others. According to the CDC, many people with hepatitis do not experience symptoms until the disease has progressed, making regular testing even more important.
