Very pleased with the overall experience here. Receptionist was very pleasant as well as the support staff we encountered. Saw Dr. Mary Wolter who was very personable and easy to talk to. She performed a thorough exam and answered any questions or concerns we had. Never felt rushed. Office and patient rooms were immaculate.

I have been to this facility a few times when I have had to take my child in times when her Pediatrician was away. They have taken care of her and even given me a referral so that I may take her to a specialist to further evaluate her. It's not very far from my home at all. I'm glad they are also available after my child gets out of school, since her pediatrican's last appt. is at 3:30, I have time to go to Metro-UrgiCare and feel reassured.

About Hepatitis test

Who should get tested for hepatitis?

Anyone who is sexually active, shares needles, or has been exposed to blood from someone who has hepatitis should get tested. This includes those who have had unprotected sex, those with multiple sexual partners, and those who have had a sexual partner who has been diagnosed with hepatitis. Pregnant women are also recommended to get tested for hepatitis, as the virus can be passed from mother to child during childbirth.

Importance of getting tested

Getting tested for hepatitis is crucial because it allows for early detection and treatment, which can prevent serious liver damage. According to the CDC, many people with hepatitis do not have symptoms and do not know they are infected. If left untreated, hepatitis can lead to liver disease, liver cancer, and even death. It's also important to get tested to prevent spreading the virus to others.
