Very pleased with the overall experience here. Receptionist was very pleasant as well as the support staff we encountered. Saw Dr. Mary Wolter who was very personable and easy to talk to. She performed a thorough exam and answered any questions or concerns we had. Never felt rushed. Office and patient rooms were immaculate.

I have been to this facility a few times when I have had to take my child in times when her Pediatrician was away. They have taken care of her and even given me a referral so that I may take her to a specialist to further evaluate her. It's not very far from my home at all. I'm glad they are also available after my child gets out of school, since her pediatrican's last appt. is at 3:30, I have time to go to Metro-UrgiCare and feel reassured.

About Hepatitis test

Who should get tested for hepatitis?

Anyone who has been exposed to the virus should get tested for hepatitis. This includes individuals who have shared needles, had unprotected sex, or have a mother who was infected at the time of birth. Additionally, healthcare workers and those who live with someone who has hepatitis should also get tested. It's important to remember that hepatitis can be asymptomatic, meaning you could be infected and not show any symptoms, making testing crucial for those at risk.

Importance of getting tested

Getting tested for hepatitis is vital for several reasons. Firstly, early detection can prevent the disease from progressing to a more severe state, such as liver cirrhosis or liver cancer. Secondly, knowing your status can help protect others by preventing the spread of the virus. Lastly, getting tested allows for early intervention and treatment, improving the overall prognosis and quality of life.
