I saw Dr. Martin Kubier on many occasions. This time no different from the many times before. His bedside manner is superb. He is very kind, thoughtful and thorough. Like I’ve said before if he had his own practice I would most definitely be a patient of his. The nurse/technician Caitlyn is most definitely a keeper. So kind and soft spoken. The receptionist also very nice and helpful. This is the only Urgent Care I will go to. I’ve spoken very highly of this location to many family members and friends. I know of seven family members who now goes to this location.

Love the providers here and all the staff. The office is wonderful and will make you feel comfortable and at home while in their care. I would not use another clinic for urgent care needs. Xpress knows how to get it done right the first time!

About Hepatitis test

Who should get tested for hepatitis?

Anyone who has been exposed to certain risk factors should consider getting tested for hepatitis. These risk factors include sharing needles, having unprotected sex, or being born to a mother with hepatitis. Additionally, those who have traveled to countries with high rates of hepatitis, have been incarcerated, or have a history of substance use should also consider testing. It's important to note that hepatitis can be asymptomatic, meaning you could be infected and not know it, which is why testing is so crucial.

Importance of getting tested

Getting tested for hepatitis is vital as it can lead to serious health complications if left untreated, including liver disease and cancer. Early detection can help prevent these complications and allow for effective treatment. Moreover, knowing your status can help prevent the spread of the virus to others. According to the CDC, an estimated 2.4 million people in the United States are living with hepatitis C, many of whom are unaware of their status.

Hepatitis testing options in Norman, OK:

Urgent care and walk-in clinics

Urgent care and walk-in clinics offer convenient, same-day hepatitis testing. These facilities, such as First Med Urgent Care in Oklahoma City, provide quick and efficient service. You can book same-day and next-day testing appointments at each through Solv’s website and mobile app.

Primary care providers

Primary care providers are another reliable source for hepatitis testing. They can provide a comprehensive health check-up and guide you through the testing process.

Free STD testing and community health centers

There are also free STD testing and community health centers in Norman that offer hepatitis testing. These centers provide services regardless of your ability to pay, making testing accessible for everyone.

At-home testing

At-home testing kits are another option. These kits can be ordered online, used in the privacy of your own home, and then sent back to a lab for analysis.

Prevalence of hepatitis in Norman

While specific numbers for Norman are not readily available, data from the CDC indicates that the prevalence of hepatitis in Oklahoma is slightly higher than the national average. It's important to note that these numbers may not reflect the true prevalence due to underreporting and lack of testing.

Risk factors related to hepatitis in Norman

Risk factors for hepatitis in Norman are similar to those in other parts of the country. These include unprotected sex, sharing needles, and having a mother with hepatitis. Other factors that could contribute to the prevalence of hepatitis in Norman include the city's proximity to larger urban areas and the presence of high-risk groups.

Other STDs in Norman

In addition to hepatitis, other STDs such as gonorrhea, chlamydia, HIV, and syphilis are also present in Norman. These STDs have different risk factors and prevalence rates, but all require regular testing for detection. Like hepatitis, many of these STDs can be asymptomatic, further emphasizing the importance of regular testing.
