I woke up and the side of my face was swollen, under my eye and down my jawline.  Made an appointment online, staff was nice and very accommodating.  A little wait for the Dr. but that was okay because he was able to diagnose the problem and explained what was needed to get better.

Both of us are medical professionals (a MD and RN) and are extremely knowledgeable of treatment options/procedures. We were very satisfied with the care received at City Doc!w

My sons regular pediatrician office closed early for the day (after scheduling my appointment at 10:45a) without notifying me so when I showed up at 11:30a for my sons appointment no one was there, luckily Little Spurs was open and able to get us in during the bad weather. My son had a 101.7 temp when we got there and we found out he had the flu. The staff was amazing, and took their time to care for my son and answer all my  questions about the meds they prescribed and even called ahead to the pharmacy to make sure they had the medication in stock and would be open. We definitely will be back again if necessary.

Overview of STD Testing in Farmers Branch

Who should get tested for STDs?

Anyone who is sexually active should consider regular STD testing as part of their healthcare routine. This is especially true for those who have multiple sexual partners, engage in unprotected sex, or use intravenous drugs. According to the CDC, sexually active women younger than 25 years should get tested annually for gonorrhea and chlamydia, as these infections are most common in this age group. Men who have sex with men should also get tested at least once a year for syphilis, chlamydia, and gonorrhea. If you're in a relationship, it's important for both partners to get tested to prevent the spread of STDs.

Importance of getting tested

Getting tested for STDs is crucial for many reasons. Many STDs do not show symptoms, meaning you could be infected and spreading the disease without knowing it. Early detection through testing can help prevent serious health complications like infertility, certain types of cancer, organ damage, and increased risk of HIV infection. Regular testing also helps to prevent the spread of these diseases to others.
