The check in computer machines were too complicated for Senior Citizens and individuals who are not computer savvy.  We had to use several check in machines to check in. The receptionist had to use two machines before she could check us in. Staff was very nice.

Half way through my appointment, the fire alarm went off. We all had to be evacuated. I had been putting my appointment off for the issue for a year. I finally scheduled it, and boom... you gotta go (lol). It wasn't their fault though. Other than that, I was very pleased with everything.

Friendly Staff

Had been experiencing jaw pain for a few days and I knew I wouldn’t be able to see my dentist until at least Monday. I was hesitant to go urgent care on a Saturday, I assumed I’d be waiting forever and for jaw pain, they wouldn’t be able to do much. But actually, I reserved a spot online and they took me right away. The medical assistant and doctor were so nice, helped me as best as they could, and sent me home with a prescription that eased the pain tremendously the next day. I’d never been to this location before but I’m glad I made the trip and the next time I need to go to urgent care, I’ll be going here. Thank you everyone at AFC Piscataway !

Recent Lab Tests Reviews (20)

We were very lucky. They opened at 8am. We got there at 8:50am and there was only 1 patient ahead of us. We were seen very quickly. Covid test & strep test administered quickly. Waited 15 minutes for Covid result. And then saw doctor. In & out.

I have been satisfied with the care and service on the 3 occasions I had Covid testing.

I made an appointment for a Covid Rapid test for travel. After the appointment was made I received a text confirming the appointment and requesting that I complete forms which I did. On testing day I received a text again confirming my appointment at 6. I arrived at 5:45 and checked in. I was advised then that although I had an appointment I would have to wait an hour for the test and was asked to wait in my car. Not having been advised of this previously I was extremely mad and upset. Had I been told this may be the case when I made the appointment I would have understood and been better prepared I believe that this lack of communication was unprofessional and needs to be addressed

- Verified patient on 3/5

The wait time was UNREAL! Waited almost 2hrs for a 2minute Covid Test. The receptionist was not really all that friendly as well. Nonetheless, when the nurse saw us she was really sweet and rapid.

- Verified patient on 3/29

I was SUPER surprised how speedily everything went! By the time I got to my car waiting to be called, I was called 2 minutes later confirming my info so I can come in. I don’t remember the name of the staff member that performed my test but she was professional, non-judgmental, chatty, and very nice. I would definitely come back to the Linden location.

Wait time was a little long but under the circumstances it was well understood. The young nurse was exceptional. Extremely kind and considerate. Covid test was administered with very little duress. Highly recommend.

- Verified patient on 1/16

Excellent experience!! My wait was less than a half hour. Unfortunately I tested positive for Covid. I was caught of guard by that and was kind of in shock when told. I would have liked a couple of more minutes with the doctor to discuss the do’s and don’ts.

- Verified patient on 1/2

I had an appointment but did not have to wait long I just didn’t know the difference between the 2 test for taking the COVID test but the rapid test they test at the clinic and the diagnostic one they send to the lab and it takes from 1 to 3 days to get the results

Went in for a COVID test, the girl was very pleasant and was in and out in a matter of minutes.

Linden Lab Tests

Lab tests take samples of your blood, urine, saliva, and other bodily secretions, which are then analyzed in a lab to help doctors diagnose and treat certain illnesses. Lab tests can be used to diagnose an illness, detect changes in an existing condition, and monitor how your body responds to a therapy, among other things. They can also be used to monitor the progression of a disease or a set of diseases.

If your doctor is unable to make a definitive diagnosis of your disease, or if you are having a variety of symptoms that could indicate a variety of disorders, he or she may request a lab test. Some lab tests require no preparation at all, while others may require you to fast for eight to twelve hours before the test in order to avoid erroneous results from certain meals and beverages. Your healthcare provider may advise you to cease smoking, exercising, and taking certain medications and nutritional supplements for many hours or days before your blood test.

Before your lab test, ask your doctor for precise instructions to follow to minimize erroneous results and multiple trips to the lab for additional testing. A lab worker may use a needle to draw blood from your arm or prick your finger to collect a small sample of blood during a blood test. During a urine test, your physician will ask you to go to the restroom and urinate in a sterile cup, then set your sample on a shelf where a lab technician can pick it up and process it. The personnel at the lab testing facility will demonstrate how to do each type of test.
