Had been experiencing jaw pain for a few days and I knew I wouldn’t be able to see my dentist until at least Monday. I was hesitant to go urgent care on a Saturday, I assumed I’d be waiting forever and for jaw pain, they wouldn’t be able to do much. But actually, I reserved a spot online and they took me right away. The medical assistant and doctor were so nice, helped me as best as they could, and sent me home with a prescription that eased the pain tremendously the next day. I’d never been to this location before but I’m glad I made the trip and the next time I need to go to urgent care, I’ll be going here. Thank you everyone at AFC Piscataway !

It was incredibly easy. I was out of state and my husband was back home and not feeling well.  I was able to schedule the appointment for him online and complete his registration paperwork so that everything was ready for him.  It was great service.

Staff is great, not long waiting period at all. But, the physician assistant is a terrible listener and has no idea of what she's doing. Maybe she was overwhelmed. We all have bad days but, she's suspect.

The check in computer machines were too complicated for Senior Citizens and individuals who are not computer savvy.  We had to use several check in machines to check in. The receptionist had to use two machines before she could check us in. Staff was very nice.

Recent Lab Tests Reviews (20)

This was my second visit here for a COVID test. My first visit was awful as I wasn’t familiar with their process and assumed the information I entered on the website for scheduling carried over. It does not! You must go a register inside once you arrive for your appointment. I knew what to do for my second visit and everything went very smoothly. It would help if they had some signage in the parking lot and in the waiting room as there are a lot of confused people. The staff, however, is very professional.

Everyone was nice and professional from the young man that entered our information to the technician. I thought it was going to hurt but it was painless. Would definitely recommend them to anyone who wants a COVID test.

Everything was fine except I had an appointment for Covid Test at 11 am and wasn’t taken in until after 12 pm. Wait time is to long.

Super friendly staff and quick service ! Went in for a COVID test and was in and out within 10-15 minutes ! Will definitely recommend :)

From start to finish everyone was very welcoming & professional. I was there for a PCR test. I telephoned the day before and someone took the time to listen to my travel dates to ensure I was going to be within my 72 hour window. I arrived the next day, registered, and took the test. And whoa 24 hours later, I was able to call for my results, pick up the my printed document and go!! Thank you so much to the adorable Emily and the very patient Tahesa at the front desk!! With so much rudeness & bad customer service, I was " pleasantly " surprised to encounter such a great experience at the doctor's office 🌺 kudos to Riverside!!

The front desk receptionist and the nurse that did my covid test were both really great and kind

- Verified patient on 8/4

It took two hours for a Covid vaccine. I thought that was excessive as I had an appointment. People that were there for Covid tests were also in the waiting room. They should have been separated. The nurse that administered the vaccine was lovely though.

Ashley was very friendly and professional when taking my nasal swab for Covid testing. The whole process took less than 30 minutes. I would have liked to see better enforcement of mask wearing among the patients. For the entire 15-20 minutes I was inside the facility, a customer had his mask below his chin while talking on his phone.

It was a pleasure to be seen quickly and getting our COVID tests so easily. We were very impressed with the facility and the staff.

Pleasantly surprised at how quickly I was able to get a same day appointment for a rapid results covid test. Staff were courteous and professional.

Both the intake lady and the lady who did my covid test was sooooooo nice and i would go back and recommend this place just for them. Two beautiful black ladies

Showed up to wait for a Covid test before opening. The staff was very considerate and informative and the Dr. Couldn’t have been more down to earth and helpful. Very reassuring!

Went for COVID-19 test. Everything was great except waiting for the re-registeration of my patient information that I'd filled out beforehand online.

- Verified patient on 2/13

The check in women was so nice and the man who did the covid test also very nice people.

I was in and out for a rapid COVID-19 test in less than 30 minutes. The staff were very friendly and helpful and I am very big on bed-side manner. I won't hesitate to return if need be. Thanks Watchung, NJ staff!

The only complaint is how many people were in the waiting room People not only getting vaccinated but people waiting for co-vid tests which implies they could be sick No temperature checks at all Perhaps in the future patients should call upon arrival and get called in when they are ready The nurse is absolutely awesome!!

- Verified patient on 2/12

The staff was excellent. However I do not think you should have patients waiting for a covid test in the same waiting space as others.

I reviewed only two patients for injury! one had an knee inj not serious level of care but not sure the other pt med needs! Only two pt prior to me was waiting for Covid 19 tests waiting prior to me signing into the medical facility! I sat over 2:45 mins! The knee pt came in after me and wait was only less than 1h seen by physical and discharge! No way I should have been there three hrs Waiting to be treated! It was not that busy! Not at all! They had more phone calls then pt needing med attention!

I’ve been here twice. The first time everyone was so friendly and waiting for my appointment was so fast (I’ve visited other centers for a COVID test and waited hours after checking in). Going the second time I was sure that I probably got lucky for my first visit and it would not be the same the second time around- but nope! Everyone here is extremely friendly, I barely waited; whether it be to get checked in or waiting in my car to get called to go inside for testing. I also received my results quickly both times. I don’t ever leave reviews but my experience here was amazing and I would highly recommend. There are other centers closer to my home, I will most likely continue to drive further to come here if need be in the future.

I was treated well. Had both Covid vaccines there. The only bad thing was too many people in the waiting area. Several asking for Covid tests. They should have been in their cars

Watchung Lab Tests

Lab tests take samples of your blood, urine, saliva, and other bodily secretions, which are then analyzed in a lab to help doctors diagnose and treat certain illnesses. Lab tests can be used to diagnose an illness, detect changes in an existing condition, and monitor how your body responds to a therapy, among other things. They can also be used to monitor the progression of a disease or a set of diseases.

If your doctor is unable to make a definitive diagnosis of your disease, or if you are having a variety of symptoms that could indicate a variety of disorders, he or she may request a lab test. To see how you're responding to a drug or to check if you're at risk for certain diseases, lab tests may be performed. If your doctor is unable to make a definitive diagnosis of your disease, or if you are having a variety of symptoms that could indicate a variety of disorders, he or she may request a lab test. Some lab tests require no preparation at all, while others may require you to fast for eight to twelve hours before the test in order to avoid erroneous results from certain meals and beverages. Your healthcare provider may advise you to cease smoking, exercising, and taking certain medications and nutritional supplements for many hours or days before your blood test.
