While they do sometimes have a wait-time due to increased patient traffic, the quality of care, beside manner, friendliness of staff, and cleanliness of the facility can't be beat in the area! There are however NOT open 12pm-10pm as this website lists. Their hours are 10am-8pm seven days a week.

I had cut my left thumb deeply enough that it needed a few stitches. All the staff that saw me were wonderful. Thank you Urgent Care, West Side.

My husband had to go into Sparrow urgent care today for a nasty cut on his thumb. He received seven stitches and was very pleased by the professional staff and welcoming environment. Excellent experience, I would recommend.

We almost exclusively come here when the kids need to be seen same day. Our primary care is impossible to get into without a weeks notice. The place is impeccably clean, the staff is very friendly. Yes, you have to wait if you get there after 9. Yes, the doctors seem a little rushed, because they are busy all day long. We have BCN insurance and it’s accepted and the copay is reasonable. Normally the doctors won’t prescribe anything unless it’s actually necessary. I’ve had one time the doc prescribed even though my daughters strep test came back negative, and she had a slightly inflamed ear drum. I felt comfortable with the decision and am generally happy they don’t over prescribe for my kids. I would highly recommend this clinic and am surprised by the negative reviews. I’m appreciative of our health care workers and the staff.

The ladies/staff were very friendly! Wait time was a little slow but I was okay with it afterwards since the ladies were patient and easy handling with my son, which was very important to myself. Definitely would go back to this one if need to!

About Pregnancy Tests

A pregnancy test helps you confirm whether you’re pregnant. Many signs and symptoms of pregnancy overlap with other health and medical conditions, but getting a pregnancy test can reveal whether conception is the reason for your symptoms. A missed menstrual period is usually the primary sign of pregnancy, but other causes of a missed period include diabetes, drug abuse, polycystic ovarian syndrome, and oral contraceptives.

Determining whether you’re pregnant is crucial to the health of your unborn baby, as you need to take extra precautions to make sure you and your baby are safe. For example, spending time in environments where you inhale cigarette smoke or toxic fumes is harmful to your fetus, and medications such as opioids carry serious risks for mothers and their unborn children.

Common signs of pregnancy include tender, swollen breasts, nausea and vomiting, fatigue, headaches, increased urination, mood swings, food cravings, and light spotting. If you experience these symptoms regularly, you might be pregnant and can benefit from taking a pregnancy test.

Pregnancy Test FAQs

  • Can I get a free pregnancy test in St. Johns?

If you don't have health insurance or don't have access to a doctor, a community health clinic or a Planned Parenthood health center may be able to provide you with a free or low-cost pregnancy test. If you do have insurance, many commercial plans will fully cover the cost of a pregnancy test at an in-network provider including primary care doctors, medical laboratories, and both retail clinics and urgent care centers.

  • How soon can I test for pregnancy?

For the best accurate result, wait until the week following your missed menstruation to take a pregnancy test.
