I woke up this morning with a UTI and was able to schedule an appointment for that day. That’s most helpful because the pain was was so bad I I was able to make an appointment for 1 o’clock. That was the first available at the time and that that was great. The staff was so considerate, patient and understanding and most efficient. this new scheduling program is excellent. I think it works very very well.

To the Owner: please remember that your front line people represent your Center as a first impression. If you call and the receptionist gives you a negative attitude bbecause you asked a question that required more than a yes or no answer, she sighs and says "ok, I'll check" you already get the impression that this is not a top notch Center willing to find the the information you are requesting without sounding like it is an inconvenience. Is an online check in a feature you offer? I cant tell. Your web site mention in one ad but not another and your staff doesnt mention it. Your front line people must be equally receptive to telephone and in person inquiries. They need to realize that they work for the patient and family foremost. Also, if you have been referred to an online schedule to see which doc or PA or NP is working, then it should be much easier to locate and it should be user friendly to decipher. It is not difficult to design a simple staff schedule intended to assist patients rather than one designed for staff. Since you are listed as primary care, your patients should be able to find out if "their" doctor is on duty, quickly and easily. With a few changes, your Center could be consistently rated 5's. I have been a nurse manager most of my career so I hope you see my suggestions in the positive light they were intended. A little privacy at the check in desk would also be appreciated by most patients. Thank you for providing space for patients & families to comment.

About Prostate Screening (PSA) Testing

Overview

Prostate Screening (PSA) Testing is a blood test used to measure the level of prostate-specific antigen (PSA) in the blood. PSA is a protein produced by the prostate gland, and elevated PSA levels may indicate prostate conditions, such as benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) or prostate cancer. PSA Testing is essential for early detection, diagnosis, and monitoring of prostate-related issues, helping healthcare providers assess prostate health and determine the appropriate course of action.

Who Should Get Tested

If you reside in Bonneau, South Carolina, and are a male aged 50 or older, or if you have a family history of prostate cancer, Prostate Screening (PSA) Testing is recommended. For individuals at higher risk, such as African American men or those with a family history of early-onset prostate cancer, testing may begin at age 45.

Interpreting the Results

  • Early detection of prostate conditions, including prostate cancer
  • Monitoring prostate health in individuals at risk of prostate issues
  • Guiding appropriate diagnostic procedures, such as a prostate biopsy
  • Initiating timely treatment for prostate cancer, if detected

Following the Test

After Prostate Screening (PSA) Testing, healthcare providers review the results with individuals and offer recommendations based on the findings. Elevated PSA levels may warrant additional tests, such as a prostate biopsy, to further evaluate the prostate and determine the appropriate treatment plan.
