I was standing in the waiting room behind another patient who was at the registration window. That transaction was taking a while. Another person in the reception area saw me waiting and came to the adjacent door and invited me inside to register at another window. This person was most helpful and a pleasure to deal with. After registering, I waited about 20 minutes to be seen. After the initial steps of height, weight, blood pressure, oxygen level and pulse, I waited another 10 minutes to be seen by the nurse practitioner. She listened to my concerns about a persistent cough, then listened to my lungs. She ordered a chest X-ray. I was completely unfamiliar the hospital so a staffer walked me all the way to the Imaging Center and turned me over to them. Those folks were very friendly and efficient and had me turned around back to Urgent Care in 20 minutes. The nurse practitioner saw nothing beyond bronchitis on the chest X-ray and called in prescriptions to my pharmacy of choice. This health care visit was the best urgent care experience I have had, EVER. The reviewers complaining about surly, unfriendly staff may be having their own surly, unfriendly attitude reflected back to them!

STD testing is an important part of maintaining sexual health, especially for sexually active individuals in Mayfield. Many sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) are asymptomatic, meaning they do not show noticeable symptoms, making regular testing essential. People with multiple sexual partners or those who engage in unprotected sex are particularly at risk, but testing is recommended for anyone who is sexually active. STD testing in Mayfield can detect a range of infections early, allowing for timely treatment and reducing the risk of serious health complications such as infertility, cancer, and the spread of infections to others. Local testing options in Mayfield often include urgent care centers, primary care providers, community health centers, and at-home test kits.
