I would come back here again.  Scheduling was very easy, wait time was nil, care and testing was good and the environment is great. My only criticism is that neither the nurse who I first saw, or the provider introduced themselves.  Being in health care myself, an introduction is critical.  A simple "Hi my name is David, I'm a PA" would have been sufficient.

After receiving my results, I called Labcorp and discussed the results with a consultation. This consultation filled in my knowledge gaps and made me more aware of my particular situation.

I had a colonoscopy and it went smoothly. Dr. Frane and RN Pam were stupendous. Everything went well, and the experience was pleasant. The prep for this procedure was the worst thing about this procedure.

Overview of STD Testing in Monticello

Who should get tested for STDs?

According to the CDC, anyone who is sexually active should consider getting tested for sexually transmitted diseases (STDs). This includes individuals who have had unprotected sex, multiple partners, a new partner, or a partner who has tested positive for an STD. It's also important for pregnant women to get tested, as STDs can cause complications during pregnancy and may be passed on to the baby.

Importance of getting tested

Getting tested for STDs is crucial for several reasons. First, many STDs often have no symptoms, meaning you could be infected and not know it. Second, early detection and treatment can prevent serious health complications, such as infertility, certain types of cancer, and increased risk of HIV. Lastly, knowing your STD status can help protect your sexual partners from infection.

Std testing options in Monticello, MN:

Urgent care and walk-in clinics

Urgent care and walk-in clinics provide convenient and accessible STD testing services. AFC Urgent Care in Maple Grove and Hopkins are two nearby options with high ratings and short wait times. These clinics often offer same-day and next-day appointments, which can be booked through Solv's website and mobile app.

Primary care providers

Your primary care provider can also provide STD testing. This can be a good option if you're already comfortable discussing your sexual health with your provider. If you don't have a primary care provider, Solv can help you find one in the Monticello area.

Free STD testing and community health centers

For those with limited income, free STD testing may be available at local community health centers. It's important to check with each center for their testing policies and hours.

At-home testing

At-home STD testing kits are also an option. These kits can be ordered online, used in the privacy of your home, and then sent back to a lab for analysis. Results are typically available within a few days.
