Had to go for a work related incident. Was seen as a walk in and wait time was long. After about 4 hours I was called back. Staff was good at getting me ready for my exam. Provider was noligiable and did well explaining things. Was told by PAC she would order Ibuprofen for pain. I was not told if I would get a prescription or a call in to pharmacy. The next morning I discovered she didn't call my prescription in and had not written me one as. I tried calling the office and couldn't get an answer at all from any extension. Will have to express this on Monday when I go for my follow up.

Was a walk in and the wait was a bit longer than I'm used to, but they got me in as quickly as possible. The front desk made me feel welcome and they girls were very friendly. I had to talk with the billing office regarding my insurance and they were very professional and courteous. Dr. Raval was very friendly and listened to what I had to say. After seeing him, I understand why others want to come to him. I wasn't rushed through my appointment and he was very thorough. I highly recommend and will be back.

Overview of STD Testing in Lumberton

Who should get tested for STDs?

Anyone who is sexually active should consider regular STD testing as part of their health routine, especially those with multiple partners or those who do not consistently use protection. It's also crucial for pregnant women to get tested as STDs can cause complications during pregnancy and may affect the baby. According to the CDC, specific guidelines recommend that all adults and adolescents from ages 13 to 64 should be tested at least once for HIV.

Importance of getting tested

Getting tested for STDs is a vital part of maintaining your overall health. Early detection of STDs can prevent serious health complications such as infertility, cancer, organ damage, and can even be life-threatening in some cases. Furthermore, many STDs are asymptomatic, meaning they show no signs or symptoms. Regular testing allows for early detection and treatment, reducing the risk of unknowingly transmitting the infection to others.
