I had not been prescribed the antibiotics I needed in two visits to Summit and, as a result, was suffering through day six, repeat six! of a horrible upper respiratory tract infection that had me bedridden and getting worse. You gave me a rx for amox and now 24 hrs later I am vastly improved up and about. Thank you! It is not a coincidence- it is not that a virus ran its course - I was getting worse not better until you've me the rx.

Staff is great, not long waiting period at all. But, the physician assistant is a terrible listener and has no idea of what she's doing. Maybe she was overwhelmed. We all have bad days but, she's suspect.

Came home from work and noticed that my child had a high fever. Her pediatrician office was closed so I googled and saw that this urgent care was opened. It was super easy scheduling an appointment on my phone and sending my insurance information with just a picture. There was probably a 25 min wait time to be put in a room but it’s an urgent care so considering that it’s not bad at all since the waiting area was full. Everyone was super friendly from the front desk guy to the MA and especially the Dr. She took her time examining my daughter and explaining the care and treatment process. Thank you for listening and caring, I would highly recommend.

I was visiting with family from another state , woke up not feeling well with a new baby coming home from the hospital. Definitely needed to be seen to make sure I wasn’t contagious.  Googled urgent care facilities near me, walked in , filled out paperwork and was taken back immediately.  Staff weee extremely courteous and professional.  I was in and out before I knew it. The longest part was filling out the paperwork .  I would definitely recommend this provider!

Overview of STD Testing in Harrison

Who should get tested for STDs?

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), sexually active individuals, particularly those with multiple or new partners, should get tested for sexually transmitted diseases (STDs). This is especially important for those who are 25 years old and below, as well as older individuals who engage in risky sexual behavior. Pregnant women should also be tested for STDs, as these can have serious health implications for both the mother and the baby.

Importance of getting tested

Getting tested for STDs is crucial for several reasons. First, many STDs do not show symptoms, making it possible for individuals to unknowingly spread the disease to their partners. Second, early detection allows for prompt treatment, reducing the risk of severe health complications. Lastly, getting tested helps prevent the spread of STDs, contributing to the overall health of the community.

STD testing options in Harrison, NJ:

Urgent care and walk-in clinics

Urgent care and walk-in clinics offer convenient, same-day STD testing. For instance, MetroDoc in Belleville, NJ and NJ Doctors Urgent Care in Nutley, NJ are highly rated facilities that offer short wait times. You can book appointments at these clinics through Solv’s website and mobile app.

Primary care providers

Primary care providers are another reliable option for STD testing. They can provide comprehensive testing and follow-up care. However, appointments may need to be scheduled in advance.

Free STD testing and community health centers

Community health centers often offer free or low-cost STD testing, making it accessible for individuals of all income levels. These centers are vital resources for those without insurance or those who cannot afford the cost of testing at other facilities.

At-home testing

For those who value privacy and convenience, at-home STD testing kits are available. These kits can be ordered online, used at home, and sent back to a lab for analysis. Results are typically available within a few days.
