Came home from work and noticed that my child had a high fever. Her pediatrician office was closed so I googled and saw that this urgent care was opened. It was super easy scheduling an appointment on my phone and sending my insurance information with just a picture. There was probably a 25 min wait time to be put in a room but it’s an urgent care so considering that it’s not bad at all since the waiting area was full. Everyone was super friendly from the front desk guy to the MA and especially the Dr. She took her time examining my daughter and explaining the care and treatment process. Thank you for listening and caring, I would highly recommend.

Overview of STD Testing in Palisades Park

Who should get tested for STDs?

Anyone who is sexually active should consider getting tested for STDs, especially if they have multiple sexual partners or engage in unprotected sex. This is crucial as many STDs often do not show symptoms but can lead to serious health complications if left untreated. According to the CDC, sexually active gay and bisexual men may benefit from more frequent testing, and pregnant women should get tested for syphilis, HIV, and hepatitis B to protect their health and the health of their newborn.

Importance of getting tested

Getting tested for STDs is an essential part of maintaining good sexual health. Early detection can prevent the spread of the disease to sexual partners and allow for timely treatment, reducing the risk of severe health problems. Furthermore, some STDs can lead to infertility if left untreated. Regular testing also helps to reduce the stigma associated with STDs, encouraging more people to get tested and seek treatment if necessary.
