When an office opens at 9am and you are asked to arrive 15 minutes prior to your visit and the office staff has you waiting outside in the cold I wonder why did I arrive on time?   The staff was watching  myself and another patient standing in the cold outside until that  9 AM time arrived !  Maybe they should consider the sick patients outside in the cold !!!

Institution states they will not take an insurance payment for any type of "physical exam" even if your insurance will pay for it they force you to pay out of pocket. Let you schedule the appointment just to inform you once you've arrived for your appointment and not before hand. This procedure needs to be evaluated and changed. I would recommend so far for any other service.

Overview of STD Testing in Rockville Centre

Who should get tested for STDs?

According to the CDC, everyone between the ages of 13 and 64 should get tested for HIV at least once as part of routine health care, while those at higher risk should get tested more often. Other STDs like chlamydia, gonorrhea, and syphilis should also be tested regularly for those who are sexually active, especially if they have multiple partners or are in a relationship with someone who has an STD. Pregnant women should be tested for syphilis, HIV, and hepatitis B to prevent passing these diseases to their unborn child.

Importance of getting tested

Getting tested for STDs is crucial to maintaining good health. Many STDs do not show symptoms in the early stages, which means they can go undetected and untreated, leading to serious health complications. Regular testing can catch these diseases early, allowing for effective treatment and reducing the risk of transmission. It's also a critical step in preventing the spread of these diseases in the community.
