I don’t write positive reviews very often (or any reviews, really), but these guys deserve it! I’m in between health insurance right now (it should have activated today but— due to a paperwork mishap—my insurance could not find me in the system). These guys were so great and worked around it! I very obviously have strep and called around, looking for any urgent care that would take me. Most said they would take me tomorrow and that I’d have to wait in my car since I have a fever. Ummm, no, I have razor blades in my throat. Get me in today. These guys had plenty of capacity, were truly concerned for my well-being, and super professional and kind the whole time. They even pulled a couple things so I’d have to pay less. I am extremely happy with them and will be going back in the future (hopefully not; but I will go there if I have to!). They even gave me my antibiotics then and there! Fantastic!

Overview of STD Testing in Newberg

Who should get tested for STDs?

Anyone who is sexually active should consider getting tested for sexually transmitted diseases (STDs). This includes those who have multiple sexual partners, those who have had unprotected sex, and those who have never been tested before. Even if you are in a monogamous relationship, it's still important to get tested. According to the CDC, STDs often have no symptoms, so many individuals may not be aware they are infected and can unknowingly transmit the infection to their partner.

Importance of getting tested

Getting tested for STDs is crucial for several reasons. It allows for early detection and treatment, which can prevent more severe health problems down the line. Additionally, knowing your status can help protect your sexual partners from becoming infected. It's also worth noting that many STDs are easily treatable once detected, so getting tested can provide peace of mind and lead to necessary treatment.

According to the CDC, the most common STDs in the area include chlamydia, gonorrhea, and syphilis. When compared to nearby counties like Lincoln, Sherman, Pierce, and Wasco, Marion County has a higher rate of STDs. This could be due to a variety of factors, including population density and access to healthcare.

Risk factors related to STDs in Newberg

Several risk factors can contribute to the spread of STDs in Newberg. These include unprotected sex, multiple sexual partners, and lack of regular testing. Additionally, social and economic factors such as lack of access to healthcare and education can also play a role. It's important for residents of Newberg and nearby cities like Dundee, Butteville, Sherwood, St. Paul, and Donald to be aware of these risks and take steps to protect themselves and their community.
