I don’t like online scheduling. I’m too old for that. Would prefer to schedule by phone.  Otherwise I was very satisfied with everything. I really liked Michaela Meadows PA.  It’s good to know this clinic is close by if needed. I would recommend    I recommended to my husband the next day and he was not happy  with the wait and mix up when he had scheduled an appointment.

The medical staff is top tier.  The check in person named Anna was rude and disrespectful.  I use this facility frequently.  I will return because I have a history of good medical care and follow up.  The front administrative person was unprofessional, hostile and should be fired.

When checking in, I had to use the pad, which they already had all my information. Too much to go through when it should be the front desk person that should be going through that. Never have to be going through this.Waiting time was terrible. Waited in waiting for sometime. And then when finally in the room I waited for sometime. I was only there for a follow up for my blood pressure. The staff was caring.

I made an appointment on Friday. After waiting over an hour was told there would still be a44 minute longer , at least wait. So I decided to get an appointment on Saturday bc I wasn’t feeling wel. I got. An appointment for 9:30 and was in an out in 20 minutes. I think you schedule to many people and with walk ins the wait time is way to long.  I know you have lost several patients due to this.

I came in one day without an appoint and waited two hours as a walk-in before I had to leave without being tested. I made an appointment through Quest Lab Testing for the next day, showed up on time, got tested easily and was on my way in 15-20 minutes. Staff is friendly and helpful.

I was very surprised with my experience here. My appointment was made very quickly. I was seen in a very short period of time. My test results came back in a very timely manner. I was able to speak with a doctor soon after and was taking care of. I was very satisfied with the experience I had here. I definitely recommend using them for any issues you have or any questions you may have.

Getting tested for Tuberculosis

A tuberculosis test identifies whether or not you've ever been infected. It won't tell you whether your illness is current or latent, but it will tell you if you've had this bacterial infection before.

A tuberculosis test can be performed on the skin or in the blood. Neither test necessitates any extra preparation.

During the skin test, the TB test provider injects a small protein called PPD beneath the first layer of your skin. A positive reaction to PPD, which is generated from tuberculosis bacteria, can indicate that you have had tuberculosis. After 48 to 72 hours, the TB test provider will request that you return to the clinic so that the injection site may be thoroughly checked to confirm or rule out a positive result.

During the blood test, the TB test practitioner takes a small sample of blood from your arm with a tiny needle. Following that, your sample is sent to a lab for examination and determination of whether or not you have tuberculosis.

When you have TB symptoms, you should get a tuberculosis test. Fever, chest pain, exhaustion, night sweats, unexplained weight loss, a cough that lasts at least three weeks, and coughing up blood are all symptoms of tuberculosis.

A tuberculosis test may be ordered if you are deemed to be at high risk for tuberculosis. A weaker immune system, contact with people who have tuberculosis, or travel to a country where tuberculosis is common are all risk factors for tuberculosis. Furthermore, some employers, including healthcare facilities, correctional facilities, and people who work or volunteer at homeless shelters, require employees to receive tuberculosis tests on a regular basis.

TB Test FAQs

  • What does a positive TB test look like?

When you take the TB skin test, a huge bump will appear on your arm at the injection site if you have had a TB infection. During your visit, your doctor or the TB test provider will measure and check the bump to see if you have TB.
