I woke up with a rash on my leg this morning and as the day went on, it spread and looked angry red. It was inflamed and hurt to touch. I immediately went to this clinic after work and was seen in a timely manner. The staff was friendly and helpful. I was very pleased with my Dr James Stamp who was attentive and looked at my rash and immediately knew how to take care of it. I am very happy with my experience at this clinic. I love that it is close to me and will highly recommend it to my friends and family.

Scheduling through the app was a breeze. I ended up showing 1 min before my appointment time and was seen about 30 minutes later. Not a long wait considering there is 1 receptionist , 1 tech, and 1 provider.  The tech who triaged me was so incredibly kind and sympathetic to my current situation and very knowledgeable. I was a bit distraught when going in but she comforted me and even made me laugh through a rough moment. The tests came back very fast and the provider himself was so kind and respectful. Offering 3 kind words of encouragement at the end of the visit,  “you got this” and a fist bump as he could see I was stressed and sad. So all in all it’s always my favorite urgent care to visit if I need immediate and kind care.

We always love coming back to little spurs pediatrics. It’s always been a great experience from the ease of booking to the little amount of time you have in the waiting room area. The staff is always great and so helpful. We will always continue coming back to this location.

My son, almost one, was throwing up throughout the night so my husband took him to the urgent care, the front staff and medical assistant were very helpful but the physician herself was extremely rude. She talked to my husband as if he himself was the child and became impatient when my son wouldn’t hold still during the ear exam. I would assume physicians would have some sort of patience but she showed that she is not one of those physicians. She did not provide a care plan to my husband, I had to contact the urgent care clinic to find out how to treat my sons sickness.

Today was the best visits I’ve had. The beside manner of the NP was wonderful. I’ve visited this location numerous times because it was listed as providers covered by insurance. When you have a sick toddler you want to get in and out. I could see that the NP is very knowledgeable and professional. She not only considered the symptoms but took us as people into consideration not just a number. Yes there was a wait but it was what I considered a normal wait time.

The wait takes a little while but honestly that’s to be expected when you’re at any hospital or clinic. Everyone is very kind and accommodating. Always a very clean clinic. Only thing I would recommend is to turn the tv down in the lobby. When you’re ill and or having a headache all day the last thing you want to hear is the tv blaring. Thanks bunches ladies

These folks got it all down!! Will never make the mistake and go to a different urgent care closer to me. Scheduled less than 1 hour before arriving at end of day like possibly the last patients and they took excellent care of my daughter. So quickly and testing completed rapidly . The provider was very kind and understanding. She met our needs and meds were given there . Pharmacy got the order we picked up before 9pm. The staff was all amazing !! Thank you for your service ❤️. 10 out of 10 would recommend.

Getting tested for Tuberculosis

A tuberculosis test identifies whether or not you've ever been infected. It won't tell you whether your illness is current or latent, but it will tell you if you've had this bacterial infection before.

A tuberculosis test can be performed on the skin or in the blood. Neither test necessitates any extra preparation.

During the skin test, the TB test provider injects a small protein called PPD beneath the first layer of your skin. A positive reaction to PPD, which is generated from tuberculosis bacteria, can indicate that you have had tuberculosis. After 48 to 72 hours, the TB test provider will request that you return to the clinic so that the injection site may be thoroughly checked to confirm or rule out a positive result.

During the blood test, the TB test practitioner takes a small sample of blood from your arm with a tiny needle. Following that, your sample is sent to a lab for examination and determination of whether or not you have tuberculosis.

When you have TB symptoms, you should get a tuberculosis test. Fever, chest pain, exhaustion, night sweats, unexplained weight loss, a cough that lasts at least three weeks, and coughing up blood are all symptoms of tuberculosis.

A tuberculosis test may be ordered if you are deemed to be at high risk for tuberculosis. A weaker immune system, contact with people who have tuberculosis, or travel to a country where tuberculosis is common are all risk factors for tuberculosis. Furthermore, some employers, including healthcare facilities, correctional facilities, and people who work or volunteer at homeless shelters, require employees to receive tuberculosis tests on a regular basis.

TB Test FAQs

  • What does a positive TB test look like?

When you take the TB skin test, a huge bump will appear on your arm at the injection site if you have had a TB infection. This hump, which may appear red and bloated, indicates that you have tuberculosis germs in your body. During your visit, your doctor or the TB test provider will measure and check the bump to see if you have TB.

Tuberculosis tests are available from a variety of healthcare providers, including primary care physicians, hospitals, walk-in clinics and laboratories, pharmacies, and urgent care clinics. • What is a TB test?

  • How long is a TB test good for?

You should have your tuberculosis test repeated every four years, whether you test positive or negative. • How much does a TB test cost in New Berlin?

A tuberculosis test's cost is determined by a number of factors, including the test's kind, provider rates, geographic location, and whether or not the test is covered by your health insurance plan. Contact each TB test provider directly to find more about price and rates, or contact your health insurance company to learn more about your TB testing benefits and coverage.

  • Does insurance cover TB testing in New Berlin?

Many health insurance coverage includes tuberculosis testing, particularly if your doctor believes it is medically necessary based on your symptoms or level of contact with tuberculosis patients. Ask your employer or doctor how often you should get a TB test based on these factors.

  • How long does a TB test take in New Berlin?
