Scheduling was easy peasy. Checked in online ahead of time. Still waited a bit but not too long. Staff was all nice and helpful. But the waiting area! Someone in there stank to high heaven of pot. It was STRONG in the small waiting area. No way should anyone else be subjected to that, especially front desk staff who have to work there all day. Anyone who comes in reeking like that should be made to wait outside or in their car. I could finally breathe once we were in the back - where the nurse (wearing a mask) mentioned how bad it was too. She was surprised. The office appeared clean enough, but it gets three stars for not handling that situation well.

I was so pleased with my visit and building a rapport with the staff. I would like her to be my PCP even! They were patient thorough and I’m so pleased and at ease of the relief I finally got. The resources and laughter shared,I’m thankful that I encountered this clinic. The steroid prescribed I feel like a breakthrough and that it will pass. I will do my due diligence of dr’s orders. They treated me so good!

Dr. Kazi spends too much time chatting with staff and patients about non medical issues. I could hear all of his conversations through the walls. I had a 8:15 appointment but didn’t leave until 10:15. Dr. Kazi spent 2 minutes deciding I needed an X-ray then never sent the X-ray to be checked by radiologist so I may have pneumonia but won’t know until Friday now. I love this urgent care but will not go back if he is attending.

About Urinary Tract Infection (UTI) Testing

Urinary Tract Infection (UTI) Testing is a diagnostic test that helps identify the presence of bacteria or other pathogens in the urinary system. UTIs are common infections that can affect the bladder, kidneys, ureters, or urethra. This testing plays a crucial role in the accurate and timely diagnosis of UTIs, allowing healthcare providers to prescribe appropriate treatment and prevent complications.

Who Should Get Tested

If you reside in East Point, Georgia, and experience symptoms such as frequent urination, burning sensation during urination, cloudy or bloody urine, or pelvic pain, UTI Testing is recommended. UTIs can affect individuals of all ages, but they are more common in women. Additionally, those with risk factors such as urinary catheter use, urinary tract abnormalities, or a history of UTIs may also benefit from testing.

Tests Included in UTI Testing

UTI Testing typically involves:

  • Urinalysis (UA): A test that examines a urine sample for the presence of white blood cells, red blood cells, bacteria, and other indicators of infection.
  • Urine Culture: A test that identifies the specific bacteria causing the infection and helps determine the most effective antibiotic for treatment.

Interpreting the Results

The interpretation of UTI Testing results involves analyzing the presence of bacteria or other pathogens in the urine sample. Positive results indicate a urinary tract infection, while negative results may require further investigation to rule out other potential causes of symptoms.

Importance of UTI Testing

UTI Testing is essential for:

  • Prompt diagnosis and treatment of urinary tract infections
  • Preventing the spread of infection to the kidneys and other parts of the urinary system
  • Identifying the most effective antibiotic for treatment
  • Managing recurrent UTIs and underlying risk factors

Following the Test

After UTI Testing, healthcare providers will discuss the results with individuals and prescribe appropriate treatment if a UTI is confirmed. It is crucial to follow the prescribed medication regimen and drink plenty of fluids to flush out the infection.

UTI Testing is a valuable tool for identifying and treating urinary tract infections promptly, ensuring optimal urinary health and well-being for individuals in East Point, Georgia.
