Woke up this morning with full body aches; was an hour late for work because of the pain and decided to go to City Life Health where they did a thorough checkup. I was able to get a prescription for the pain and nausea along with a Dr's note for my job.

Scheduling was great. The PA I saw is amazing she is always so helpful. The wait time was ridiculous tho. Waited over an hour for my appointment and to be seen. But after that was given time with the staff.

Urgent care
This was the first time I went to IM urgent care. I saw Carrie the nurse practitioner. Let me tell you,  I have nothing but great things to say about her and the staff.  I am even considering changing my primary care doctors to IM Health.  I was wheezing and coughing.  Carrie took such wonderful care of me.  Kind, caring, professional and wasn’t rushing out of the room to the next patient. Made sure I was comfortable and was starting to feel better after treatment.  I highly recommend them.

Urgent care
Walked in and was seen and out the door in about an hour and a half. There were 8 patients ahead of me. The PA that saw me, Dr. Bonk, was very sweet and professional. I received the care that I needed and am now, Lord willing, on the mend. The automated check in is impersonal but efficient. I downloaded the Solv app so it saved my info and I wont need to re-enter next time. I would recommend this provider.

Urgent care
I cut my leg badly a couple of days ago and needed help asap! I immediately thought of the closest Urgent Care on Valley Forge Rd. and Sumneytown Pike in Lansdale. I was a walk-in and there were a couple of sick children ahead of me so they immediately got me to a private room where I wouldn't be exposed to germs and cleaned my leg while I waited for the on-duty physician's assistant, Catherine Moran. She was attending to those ahead of me but came in to evaluate my injury and informed me that the wound would require stitches. When she finished with the others, she attended to me and did an outstanding job! Not only was the stitching painless but the quality of her handiwork was fabulous! She was calm and reassuring as were the nurse who performed the preliminary duties (blood pressure, information gathering, etc.) and staff. I was impressed with the competence of everyone involved and would highly recommend this facility to anyone in need! Thank you to all of the staff who helped me!

How Much Does Urgent Care Cost In Philadelphia?

The cost of urgent care in Philadelphia can vary widely based on several factors, including the type of services provided, the specific facility, and whether you have insurance. Generally, urgent care centers are designed to be a more affordable alternative to emergency room visits, making them accessible for non-life-threatening conditions that require prompt attention.

For those with insurance, the out-of-pocket expenses will depend on your plan's coverage, including copays and deductibles. It's advisable to check with your insurance provider to understand your benefits and any potential costs you might incur. In addition to the basic visit fee, additional costs may arise if diagnostic tests, such as X-rays or lab work, are needed. These services can influence the overall expense, so it’s a good idea to inquire about any potential additional charges when you arrive.

What is the cost of an urgent care visit in Philadelphia without insurance?

If you are uninsured or underinsured, many urgent care facilities offer transparent pricing and payment options, allowing you to know what to expect before receiving care. Some centers may also provide discounts for self pay or cash payments or offer sliding scale fees based on income.
